During today's Nintendo Direct, the company announced a remake for the GameCube classic, Luigi's Mansion. The game will launch later this year for 3DS, and will offer a boss rush mode. The map will now be on the bottom screen of the 3DS to show where you are.

Have you played the original? You kinda tug the C stick in the opposite direction of the ghost and stuff... would feel super weird doing that with motion controls! XD

I wish it was on switch, I dont get why they would port a GC title to 3DS over porting it to switch... mind boggling.

they said it right there in the direct that it was made so that the people who only played dark moon can get to play the first one on the 3ds too, not that hard to wrap your head around

still doesnt make sence lol so im guessing metroid prime 4 should be on 3ds too becuase people who played metroid prime federantion force and metroid samus returns could play the prime trilogy...

everyone wanted luigi mansion and sunshine hd but we get ane even worse version with lower resolution and probably mandatory motion controls because of lacking stick, cant wait to see the same on a sunshine remake too :S

they're prob using the same engine as in dark moon its really not that hard of a concept to grasp lol

very doubtful lol they just ported luigis mansion engine sourcecode to 3ds and made the apropriated changes, i doubt they would rewrite the entire game on a diferent engine, that is basicaly a from the ground up remake wich takes alot more time and effort.

its more work creating high poly models and hd textures for an hd console than it is creating semi high poly models and ok textures for a 400x240 resolution system.

they dont need to create anything ... an hd remaster is just put some hd texture pack, improve resolution/framerate.

thats how every hd remaster is done they dont make new models...

for 3ds they got even worse resolution im guessing framerate will probably ve worse on o3ds for sure and the textures are the same becuase why not they dont even need to improve them.


ever watched the diference from xenoblade chronicles 3ds to wii? it will almost be that diference from luigi mansion from gc to 3ds lol, more like a downgrade of an old game.

nah the framerate looks fine and will most likely be as smooth as dark moon which was pretty smooth, and I'll definitely enjoy playing this port while you stay salty

i got the gc version and can even play it on wiiu with nintendont so yeah i dont care i just saw a wasted oportunity, same for mario browser inside story, the ds games works on 3ds there is no need for a remaster on it since the official release works just fine on all 3ds models, the switch owuld have liked a port rather than 3ds, i got the original too so meh.

on the other hand i loved the remake of zelda games on 3ds, same for samus returns, but sometimes i wonder about thse 3ds ports like caption toad, yoshi wolly world and so on.

my dream for an hd luigis mansion was shatered srs why on 3ds? switch would be much better getting hd luigi mansion, and why the hell are they remastering browser inside story too?

they already had a engine for that game on 3ds becuase of dark moon so making it for 3ds is much easier
