Nintendo says they are working on this. Supposedly some codes werent entered correctly into the data base, while others werent pushed to the code data base due to a server update issue. Unfortunely while they have a list of codes, they have no way of knowing which ones are done right and one that werent. they have to go through the list one at a time. A friend believes they cant just resumit the whole list at once without causing issues for those who already used their codes.

damn, haven't tested mine yet. Hopefully there won't be any issues. This is why i prefer a retail copy more than anything. How hard can it be, they can charge me double instead of having it "free" with Bayo 2. Heck they could even just include another card slot on the same case and the artwork half of Bayo1 and 2 on the cover if they wana cheap out.

Nintendo, please don't cheap out on us and use a 32 GB card instead of using a 16 GB. This is just embarrassing and it makes you look bad.
It would have been nice to have them both on one cart, but least usw two carts would probably been best, same goes for resident evil revelations collection. Also if they do the same thing with Donkey kong country returns & tropical freeze, I will be upset. :ninja:

God i hope not. Physical all the way please. Otherwise, what's the point? i'll just get them both on eShop then if they just provide codes anyway. What's next, game case with just codes? Nintendo be like, "Hey, grab your physical copy of the game case, preorder now.."pfft..

Kinda like what they did with Pokemon Gold/Silver for 3DS?

If you're having troubles with your code, call their support number and they'll hook you up with a working code. From what I'm hearing, they'll ask for some serial numbers/codes to verify that you actually bought Bayonetta 2, so don't expect to call them and get a free Bayonetta 1 copy.

More like this is nothing and nobody cares. It's a very small minority still making a huge fuss over this. We haven't lived in a physical cart/disc-only world for a long time, digital downloads and massive installs are the norm now. Time to accept it and move on, or just throw away all your consoles. Your choice.

Bayonetta is around 8GB on Switch, still not even close to filling my 32GB mSD after downloading it. Had no issues with my code.

Yet they have physical releases for both games in Japan.

That's great. I mean there are plenty of digital-only releases on all consoles now, and you have to install games on XB1/PS4 anyway, so you might as well skip the disc in the first place. These days it would only take about fifteen of the biggest games to fill up your HDD. At least Switch necessitates having smaller file sizes even for digital, whereas for XB1/PS4 developers don't even try to make it reasonable. "75GB install...ship it."
