hey guys, as the title suggests anyone here got both ?

because i been looking at alot of reviews and whether it is really worth it to splash 80+$ on a pro controller (they cost that much in where i live).

they have the splatoon version here , i think even that one has the dpad issue just as the original , and only the xeno pro controller having that redesign that fixes the dpad input issues.

could anyone please tell me how bad the dpad affects games such as sf/puyotetris ?

i just want to know what im buying is good, thanks in advance.

yeah seen that one, but i wanted end user experience from people here, he does say it is not a night day difference.
but still that certain games such as ppt/sf are bad with the dpad is no good.

I do have both the original and the Xenoblade Pro Controller.

I have to say that after watching videos like the one above I expected some improvement on the D-Pad, but that was not the case in my experience.

I have been playing a lot of Celeste lately, where you need some precise D-Pad response, and I've been having headaches.

It is the same as with the original Pro Controller, many times you want to press left and it reads left-up, or left-down, etc.
Well, perhaps it's not that bad and I just want to blame the d-pad for the over 2000 deaths I've had on the reflection B-Side level /s... but no, it is still the same, TBH I prefer the XB1's gamepad d-pad a lot more.

That said, I still believe the Pro Controller (specially the beautiful Xenoblade edition) is worth it, it is very comfortable and the analogs are great. But my bias aside, and to answer your question specifically, I feel the d-pad problems present in the original version are still there in the Xeno version.

thank you my friend C:
then i will just get whatever pro controller they will be bringing.

i asked the shop to get me the xeno one if they have it.
(they said the controller would cost between 90-100$..)

so if it is the xeno ones then okay.
as they go above 120$ on amazon/ebay.

they are pricey af..
even if i were to order the official pro controller from amazon ,ordering it by myself would cost me above 85$, and i would need to wait a month until it gets here.
so i will just try to buy it from the shop once they get them next week.

i just feel like i will need the pro controller in the long run.. i was really fond of the WiiU gamepad (had no issues with it, not heavy sure somewhat big but no issues).
but the joy-cons with grip is way too narrow and makes my hands feel cramped, i rarely used them.

so i thought i will defintely need the pro controller for my switch.
i'll get one.
