Hi guys how are you? I would love to use USB helper but sadly I am on Linux and haven't managed to make it run. I tried both of the guides I've found on the USB helper thread but no chance... Maybe I will install a virtualbox and run it from there. I guess it should work no? But as well I would like to know if the android app would do the trick? Just get the file from the app, pass it to a sd and then to the Wii u. But I've read that there is an option (something like prepare sd card) that's not on the app. Would it work either?
Thanks for your time :)

It requires a bit more manually moving files around, but it works.

I know that WiiU USB Helper is an excellent application and I don't blame you for wanting to use it. I just wanted to make sure that you are aware of some of the alternative NUS downloader that run excellent on Linux and MacOS with no extra work required. WiiU USB Helper is great but doesn't run on your OS, why go forcing something if its just not right? If interested check out FunKiiU, a Python command line tool OR if you prefer a GUI, I wrote a Python tool called FunKii-UI that is a front-end GUI for FunKiiU
FunKiiU command line tool: https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-funkiiu-2-0-complete-content-ticket-python-tool.446092/
FunKii-UI GUI tool: https://gbatemp.net/threads/a-simple-gui-for-funkiiu-funkii-ui.446853/

Great. Took me 3 mn to run it on my Ubuntu. Question is: are the same games than USB helper available? After download I just have to put the files on a sd and install them with wup? Thanks for this awesome program

Yes it downloads from NUS just like WiiU USB Helper. My app will show many games that are actually not available for download with any of the downloaders since they are disc only releases. I never took the time to filter them out of my program and I basically abandoned this project a long time ago, it's a simple fix but I'm lazy sometimes. The games are installed exactly the same way, with WUPInstaller. No need to worry about special characters breaking the install either since they are already removed by default.
