hi my brother gave me the Raspberry pi 3 for Christmas 2017 it currently has the generic clear hard plastic case and i rather have one with a fan to prevent overheating (it does get hot even w/o overclocking) should i go with Aluminum too? Amazon is the best option cause a friend has Amazon prime

Whatever looks pretty, really. Unless the Pi starts hitting upwards of 85C, you shouldn't really need to worry about heat whatsoever. The actual chip used could operate fine at 100C, if it wanted to (though it'd lower life expectancy a bit), but it'll thermal throttle itself around 85C.

If you don't already have heat sinks on it, pick up a a couple and that should help keep temperatures low enough that even with overclocking you shouldn't hit the 80C thermal throttle limit.
