Exactly what it says on the tin; my tablet (currently running Android 7.1.1), has a much shorter IP than what NDS Controller will allow as input. What do? (Android give me a XXX.XXX.XX.XX IP, 3DS client wants XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX IP)

Remember this, it will come in handy.
Whenever an IP address is "shortened" this nature, all you have to do is append zeroes to the the front of each field.
In your case, you would input XXX.XXX.0XX.0XX.
For a specific example, 1.1.1.1 is the same as 001.001.001.001.

Tried that, didn't work. The adress ends in a 0, perhaps that is cucking me over.

what do you mean ends in a zero?

for example 10.10.10.10 would be 010.010.010.010
edit: a more realistic example
192.168.1.20

would be "padded" to 192.168.001.020
yes, that should work. but it isn't for them.

@kingawsume , I don't think the issue lies in your IP entry, the issue you're facing is most likely unrelated to that.

just wanted to make sure he's not turning something like 192.168.1.20 into 192.168.001.002 cause he mentioned it ending with a zero? on that note.. 192.168.0.0 is just fine. it turns into 192.168.000.000

You can type out both of the ip's if you want. They're local ip's, meaning nobody can hack you through them. Also, I've had issues with that program not working in the past. I think it might require a rooted phone.

If you were wondering about IP, it was 192.168.43.10, connected through a WPA2 PSK connection; 3DS is attempting to connect to 192.168.43.10:3210.

The device in question is 98% of the time offline anyways.
