Hope someone can help i've just installed haxchi on 5.5.2. but the touchpad on the gamepad seems to have stopped working other buttons are mostly fine. when i first boot up with the console i have to use a wiimote to select a profile. Also if i turn on by the gamepad it just stays froze on the quick start menu. is it some sort of semi brick?

Use a different remote and watch on tv screen
Wii mote works fine for navigating

So you got into settings menu and ur saying pressing dpad buttons are not moving the cursor?

Touchscreen problem won’t go away by skipping QuickStart. All that would try to accomplish from this is making it to homescreen so u can use gamepad as a controller as long as buttons still function. As it won’t make touch screen magically work. Plus screen may just stay froze at first homemenu screen that comes up if it was
Freezing on QuickStart
Might b better off to start looking for a new game pad before Wii U is to outdated and can come across one easy.
eBay or Craigslist I’m sure u could find one.

considering haxchi only installs on wiiu nand memory and nothing else i think it was a coincidence and your gamepad is dying.
