Hardware computer randomly restarts while at school

i have a modded Acer c270 that runs windows (since it is no longer supported) while there are a few hiccups its is a pleasant experience. today was the second day that this happened... the computer randomly restarts while i am at school to the point where it ask me to reinstall windows.... is this something that is wrong with the laptop itself or is it becuase i use the schools network they can remotely shut me down.... if so how can i combat this

it doesnt have a dvd drive

probably a bad hard drive and/or corrupted os files

Then reinstall Windows with the recovery USB you should have made.
