Happy New Year's Everyone:) Today's Update:)
UPDATE 1-1-18

Yes, I actually got the year right:) Force of habit usually dictates one do the incorrect date, at least for a few days or weeks:) Anyways, Hope you ALL had an absolutely wonderful New Year. Today's Update starts the year off with a Bang! I recorded a few videos showcasing the new things I added, and then some. Doom, Quake, Custom RetroArch Borders, a NEW SNES Core, that is very accurate (but, also very slow!). This same Core will be the one to play Super Game Boy Games with, once configured properly! That is on my agenda! I also included the Back Door I always use in my Videos (in folder_images:) Cores I Updated are px68k, Mr.Boom (AI Tweaks!; Thanks frranck!!!), MAME 2003, RetroArch (Nestopia), RetroArch Extreme Filters (RetroArch & Custom Borders!), All of the Mednafen Cores, MAME 2010, SNES9x2010, SNES9x2002 (Thanks PCM!), To expect in near future Updates are Custom Controller Mapping, NEW RetroArch, and other fun stuff:) I will add more Doom Mods in Future Updates, as well! Here are a few Videos I recorded, to enjoy, along with this Update!!!

Custom Folders & Special Characters V2:)

Custom RetroArch Borders & Top Gear 3000

DOOM Video:)

Dual Canoe Revised & Special Characters V1

Enjoy Today's Update:)

@KMFDManic (or anyone else who may know), I've been using the Mame2003 hmod, and am wondering if I have to install anything else for the non neo-geo bios files? For example, I tried running Final Fight Revenge that requires the STV bios, and it doesn't load properly.

Also, one other unrelated question: For CHD multi-disc games (like Sega CD and Turbo CD), what is the proper setup? Should each disc be added as separate hakchi entries, and the retroarch menu be used to "eject"/"change" discs?

Thanks!

Not all STV Games work. They also would not run very well. I will try to show some running in a Video. Final Fight Revenge DOES run. But, it runs a different way, and quite slow. I will still use it as an example in the video, so you can decide for yourself, whether or not you want to go that route:) For multiple cds, you can go to options or settings, use disk control, append, then select the next disk, when prompted to.

@KMFDManic happy new year!
It is nice to see a Bsnes Core but since its not labled, what core is it?
The Performance core, the Balanced core or the Accuracy core?

Performance. The other 2 run much worse. I will retitle the Core, thanks for the response:)

Brutal Doom does not work with prboom. It requires the zDoom engine to work. What you did is just load the the levels (the *.wad file) but prboom does not load the the actual Brutal Doom.

This is how Brutal Doom looks if everything is loaded correctly

I stated this in my description, before even posting the video:)

Hello Everyone! Here is where I would like things to go, with my Core Set, in the immediate future!

Thank you all for continually supporting me, my work, and my videos on YouTube! What I would love to get done, most immediately, on my agenda...are a few of the following things.

-Fix a few Cores that have various bugs and issues, related to our environment.

-HMOD, so you can all have a far easier time manually configuring your controllers!

-HMOD, so you Guys & Gals can make your own Custom Borders, like I showcased in my latest video!

-Super Game Boy Working

-More Doom, Quake Relative Stuff!

And, now, introducing the Bounty System! Ordinarily, many things that one could hope to ask for, to be within the realm of NESC/SNESC, are achievable with not a crazy, inordinate amount of time. Myself, and others who do this stuff, gladly do it to make people happy, and keep the Emulation Scene going strong! But, there are certain instances, where some features, requests, and so on...DO take a potentially extreme amount of patience and time. These are cases where a Bounty System can be employed. Basically, a request is put into play, and a real amount of money is put up to better entice coders to truly make some of the requested magic happen.

This bounty system has already helped integration of chd support for Sega-CD and Turbografx-CD. I would like to do everything I can to make this happen for Playstation One, Sega Saturn, and 3DO, as well! With all CD Based Systems covered, you will be able to use the script in my Core Set, to one click convert almost any Cd Based Game, for use with RetroArch! Let's make this happen!!!

So, if anyone is interested in helping make this happen, post or message me, and we will get the show on the road!

PS, feel free to request anything you'd love to see in the Core Set, or enhancements, etc! Many great things I have added, have been purely based on requests!

Thanks so much, guys and gals! Let's all make the NESC/SNESC Modding Scene just as fun as it was last year!

Anyone have a SN30 pro or SFC30 pro controller out there and know how to bind controller so that either dpad or left analog stick works with N64 games? The d pad and stick work with all other consoles just not the N64 games. Thanks.

I'm wondering what are the compatibility like for Sega Saturn... I know Saturn Emulation is kinda demanding so I was wondering what would work?

So, are you saying that this controller actually works for NES/SNES Classic? Because I couldn't find any information regarding to it.
Do you still need the retro receiver for this?
This looks awesome for playing PSX games. :)

yes you need a retro receiver though the retro receiver itself supports very limited mapping... 8bitdo make their retro receiver to play SNES games, they don't support the extended features of the SNES Classic so you will not get much support for that controller. For joystick enabled games you're stuck with wired controllers for now I think, not because they wouldn't work but rather because the controller's various features are not working with the tool used to comunicate with it.

I happened to test 8bitdo both F30 and NES30 on the NES Classic (non USB-Host) and successfully played various games of Genesis, GBA, even PSX games.
I could only assume that 8bitdo current and future products would also be compatible with SNES Classic, since, well, the products have Nintendo license, same as Switch.
Here's hoping that the SF/SNES30 Pro would also have similar compatibility with F30/NES30.

that is not what I meant, it's just that the new buttons on the pro won't be used at all on the snes classic. joysticks, R2/L2... they will work yes, I have a snes30, an sfc30 and a Nes30 I know these work, but the new snes30 pro has more buttons that the retro receivers won't respond to.

Forgive me, I just realized my mistake: I should've written the above FC30 as FC30 Pro and NES30 as NES30 Pro.
I had tested these two controllers on the NES Classic.
As far as I can see from SFC30/SNES30 Pro, it has the same number of buttons with both FC30 Pro & NES30 Pro (L1, L2, R1, R2, also two analog buttons).
I haven't tested either FC30 Pro or NES30 Pro on SNES Classic, but if they work, I assume that SFC/SNES30 Pro would work, too.
