hi,
there's some differents arcades cores running arcade/neogeo roms.

with some titles when i try to lunch them they hang the wiiu and i have to fix the retroarch config file to run it again.

i wonder if exists for WII U
a list of arcade/neo roms compatibility list

rom XXXX work with fba/mame/mame2000/FBA12

Gotta confirm a few files here - is that Mednafen WonderSwan (mednafen_wswan_libretro.rpx; SHA1 e6607c16aa46f31d41b20ae38458280156cb8dab)? Because the addresses in that dump don't make sense for that file.

Re: virtual boy - that's either a design flaw in RetroArch which totally should have been caught by now or a buffer overflow in Mednafen VB.

Not sure about the others, emudevs would need to help there

Okay people! The current set of nightlies (2017-12-20) has a fix for the whole autoconfig thing. I'm not sure how permanent it will be, though. The next set should have fixes for the mednafen cores (specifically, crashes related to reading "4CFA0000"), looks like we were a bit too late to make this rotation.

Also can someone please clarify me what the state of the channel launcher is? Does it get updated with nightlies (or does it have to?).

The OP states that it has RPXs which are built in, yet the buildbot makes new RPX files every night for retroarch, so can it be assumed that the launcher channel is constantly being outdated and we should stick to the HBL for now? Or is there no difference? Thanks.
As far as I understood each core stands on his own which means as long as all your cores are off the same RetroArch main version (like 1.6.8) one of them (snes) can be older while another one (gbc) could be newer. So as long as the channel launches just the main RetroArch rpx without any specific core you would switch from there to a core by launching a content with it and it doesn't matter that much if the main (built in) rpx is outdated.
Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm confused by that as well tbh.

the rpx embedded into the forwarder just act as a dummy file, it never actually loads itself, it loads the core that retroarch.cfg tells, if there's no initial core in the cfg then it will load the first core in alphabetical order.

In other words it "can't" get outdated?

Guys how can I use Unibios 3.2 for Neo Geo games? I already put uni-bios_3_2.rom into neogeo.zip i have into my roms folder, but from retroarch options i can select unibios only until 3.0 version, and games show UNIVERSE BIOS v3.0 splash screen, not 3.2 one.

Edit
SOLVED.

well I waited a while and I guess that person isn't coming back. so my issue with Retroarch at the moment is that after launching it through the HBL or the forwarder it seems to work fine. I can't navigate the menus, though. Does it require the WiiU gamepad for menu navigation? The battery in mine died recently, so I only have a Pro controller, Wiimote+ and the Mayflash GC adapter for controller options at this time.

I figured maybe something broke in the configs, so I went ahead and deleted my entire Retroarch folder on the SD. With a clean install I still get no input, even though the screen stills throws up a 'xx controller connected in port xx' tooltip whenever Retroarch starts up. Do I need to delete something else off the SD card?

heh some fun news tidbit
Seems WiiU is netplay compatible with PS3 (both being PPC)

It also means savestates are compatible between both which is nice I guess.
I can't get the online updater for the ps3 to work. I want to download assets but its not letting me.
