I went to my local game store and they had a GBA Micro.

I took it home and the speaker is not working though. I plugged in my headphones, and it is working. So I think the sound chip is all right, but maybe the speaker is busted?

I plan on taking this thing apart and cleaning it, but I don't think that will fix the issue.

Any ideas?

The speaker uses metal contacts like gba sp speaker does so just bent the contacts up so they touch the pads on the mobo

Shadow#1, thanks. I took the things a part and cleaned it (the headphone jack and speaker area was very dirty) and also raised the tabs like you said. It worked for like an hour then it stopped again. And then when I pressed the housing down (the housing above the speaker), it started working again.

Any idea on how to keep the speaker working constantly? Or is this just a common issue with GBA Micros?
