I've seen "need display plugin" in some of their recent plugins, like the Ever Oasis and Monster Hunter Stories ones, and since I don't know chinese, I don't have the foggiest idea what it could mean or where it is, or even how it's supposed to work. Anyone here knows?

Here you go, just put this in same folder as the plugin for the game you want to use. Keep in mind that if you are using an O3DS with a game requiring Mode3 you need to make sure that the two plugins don't add up past 300KB total size.

Wait, so we do or dont need anything separate from the plugin itself for plugins that mention needing it? The recent mario and luigi ss+bm plugin says it also.

If you want to use the display plugin, then you need it along with the base cheat plugin. If you don't care about the display plugin then just the base cheat plugin is good enough, it simply won't show the things it should if any cheats specify that you need the display plugin (eg: health bar in monster hunter).

Use it with NTR, what else? All plugins are like that.

Rename it to cheat.plg if you wish, then put it in a folder with the title id of the game you want codes for. Then put it inside the plugin folder on your sd card.

Name doesn't matter whatsoever as long as it has the correct file extension (".plg"). Also, the plugin folder is in the root, NOT in the Luma folder. Luma folder is for patches.

Thanks for the correction, it's been a while. Sorry.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    nvm it does support mine
