EDIT: so i found out what actually happened to it, and for any future souls who have someone that's obsessed with nail polish and leaves the bottle of nail polish remover just lying around, KEEP YOUR SWITCH AS FAR AWAY FROM IT AS YOU CAN. acetone got on mine, and, well... look what happened to it

Judging from the general filthiness of your surroundings, it might just be some killer bacteria in your home
funny joke

WTF is that
i have no idea, the plastic feels brittle too, i tried to lift the stand, and as shown in the picture, it just broke off

Does it boot? My first guess is the battery leaked. Just about the only thing in the console that has a form of liquid.
yeah it boots just fine, 73%, still has BOTW in standby mode

Maybe the battery leaked does it power on and work? maybe something got spilled there and nobody noticed. I would take it apart and check the battery if it was mine but that voids your warranty. And the kickstand snaps back on if you didnt know

Is the wood table affected? If it is it might be a reaction to the finish on the wood.. The battery is on the opposite side of where the reaction took place.

not everyone can have an absolute spotles spic and span household like in the movies

anyway, this is off topic
Um, yes they can. If you have the money to buy a Switch, you have the money to buy a broom and a rubbish bin.

So, what you're implying is that you're living in filth and aren't willing to do anything about it?
