I tested it, it doesn't EXACTLY crash, but what happens is very weird, its like the video freezes but the audio keeps playing and I can actually select options during the fight, but I can't see anything, look
That didn't occur to me can you test this one http://www17.zippyshare.com/d/IzaDKspl/85615/Citra-CC-MSVC-05_11_2017.rar

Yes!! Thank you, that version seems to work and doesn't crash! The only problem is that it doesn't have the "anti-aliased" look that some versions have, but thank you anyway!

I'm talking about this, do you know if there's anyway to make it look like that in the version that works?

Nope they must have merged some new branch aka the texcache 2.

Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon crashes in the first cutscene with any unofficial build here. Only official citria build work for now. Any builds or fix for that, that didnt see?

Why not use the Official Build to play Super Mystery Dungeon then? If the unofficial build is unstable, better use the Official build to play.

This does not link with a build, i would like to test the build without texache.

Have you try clicking on the build you like, then click on "artifacts" where the build is to download ?

Only use msvc, mingw will random crash down to the .dll files.

with
https://github.com/citra-emu/citra/pull/3043

So it should auto detect the .dll files for the mingw build

Yeah texcache 2 fixes Pokemon lines aka no jagged edges.

The latest texcache 2 is also freezing other games, Like Mario 3D Land at startup, but continues playing after a few moments of pause

I've played around with a few different builds now, mainly because the Citra ICC18 Qt5.10.0b4 SandyBridge build I tried crashes Citra in battles. Interesting thing though, was that I initially thought this build was slow as hell, but toggling from window mode to fullscreen mode fixes the low FPS. Furthermore, it looks like the build contains some kind of anti aliasing commit, because graphics are mindblowing:D Just compare the 2 images I attached. Do you know if some special commit was added to this build?

Also, does anyone have a link for the MINGW GCC version of Citra-CC-MSVC from 05.11.2017? Apparently the MSCV versions are mostly for debugging and the MinGG versions are a lot faster and I've heard this version works just fine.

EDIT: Think I found the MINGW GCC version of Citra from 05.11.2017. Would still like to know about the other build I mentioned above.
There are many people told him the crash problem, maybe he will found out what is wrong. In my computer this version in some games runs faster than others, some games slower, you can try more games that you have. By the way, you can also try AVX (not AVX2) versions.

And MinGW and MSVC is compiler, not version, the most important thing is what they merged.

When did the freeze start? To me, it freeze when I either select CPU Level to 9, select 2 characters in 1 minute, 2 model imports and one imported stage, and 4 characters with Level 9.
I swear, it's not the mods that crashes the game as the mods work on a 3DS.

everywhere..loading a new cpu in a fight or just the loading between settings or just when i start a game...it takes over 2-4 mins before entering the stage...
if i use the one from drwhojan no problem..

I hope he does figure it out, although it seems to be a problem with many of the more recent builds, not just his. It's a shame though, I tried the AVX build as you suggested (thanks btw, I guess you looked at my Signature?) and the build is butter smooth and GFX is awesome, only problem is the crashes:sad:

About the Compilers, I get that, but I had just read the parts of the "Citra Progress Report - September 2017", specifically the section "Add mingw64 compile support" and they explain it as if builds made with MSVC are for debugging while MinGW compiled builds are for speed.

I tried 1.0.36 or your 11/29 build. No longer crashes in battles on ORAS, but I don't notice too much performance increase from 11/05. Is this without texcache2?

One thing I notice:
-sickc's builds run a bit smoother on overworld and menus. I think it's because the bottom screen is not anti-aliased? It's really blurry. In battles or when it tries to render things, there's a huge performance decrease for me
-drwhojan's builds are more consistent overall, but I lag heavily with certain menus/fonts. No slowdowns in battle, though.

I am found a quick solution for green stripes artifacts on upper screen. When it appears after closing pokemon refresh, or in another case, you will need to switch render resolution to any other and switch back to yours. This fixes it.

If anyone knows a way to fix this forever, let me know pls.

Ehh. That's old news BTW. That issue that you got was in Sun and Moon. 2nd method to fix is disable Hardware Renderer(will slow down the game).

Weird. I don't use that build. I only select the first build that I first saw lol
