So I followed the hack guide right to the end and it went as smooth as butter. I skiped one part, the firmare update... that is because I would like to confirm that I can just update the firmware as per normal? no special tricks, just update software from the settings menu?

Yes. It's safe

@Quantumcat The link in the community recommended flashcard part of first post is broken. Also it might be a good idea to change it. Maybe to r4i gold 3ds plus?

So, I can't seem to launch any homebrew from the Homebrew Launcher on my O3DS. I have both a N3DS and an O3DS. Homebrew seems to work just fine on my N3DS, but my O3DS throws an Exception error whenever I attempt to launch anything. Both are on Luma 8.1.1 and using B9S (Granted, my N3DS I think might be on 1.2, but I know the O3DS is on 1.3).

I did just update a lot of the homebrew on my O3DS (it was on an older version of B9S, Luma, and even official firmware) so some of that might have something to do with it. IIRC, you need the latest version of the Homebeew Loader to match your firmware, don't you? Could that be the issue? If so, how can I manually update the Homebrew Loader? And if not, any suggestions what else can be the issue? I am not even really sure just where it's loading the Homebrew Loader app from to manually update it. I use the Rosalina menu method of re-assigning a random app as the HB Loader app.

Guys I tried to update Luma with luma updater but it says fatal error and something that it cannot copy or locate arm9loaderhax, I do have it of course.. Am I missing something? My Luma is 7.0.1 and I think new one is 8.0.1or something like that, any help?

Thanks, do you have a link to one? One that works as a normal DS flashcart right away (not one of the switch ones) and is also very compatible with ntrboot (backup firmware is available and easy to find etc)?

Follow this to update your Luma
version. Luma3DS no longer supports arm9loaderhax.

Is it safe to use StreetPass features of 3ds games with cfw? Or could it result in a ban or other problems?
Its fine. just dont do something obvious like using freeshop as your last played title. Just load up any game besides that for a moment.

Is there any reason to use any specific method to uninstall an app installed in CIA format over another? Is there any reason I should just delete it from System Settings->Data Managment, or through FBI, or any other method that would be "better" in any way over another? Would either Data Managment or FBI remove any trace of an installed CIA if I use them to uninstall it?

They will all do the same thing. FBI has the option to delete the ticket as well (so it isn't redownloadable from the eShop).

Is either method "safer" or more recommended to use? Especially to avoid the possibility of being banned?
Neither one will cause you to be banned. Neither is better, unless you're wanting to remove the ticket as well, in which case use FBI.
