Homebrew Install Haxchi on a second DS title after installons CBHC.

Is it possible to install Haxchi on a second DS title to make a forwarder to a homebrew app by changing the config.txt file, when CHBC is already installed? Is it necessary for the second DS title to be legitimate? This thread : https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-...brew-with-buying-only-one-haxchi-game.458646/ is all about it, but it is impossible to rename the folder with fipiiu. I get an error code.

yes. the file naming thing is the meta.xml in the meta folder located here: mlc01/usb01/usr/title/0050000/title id the english portion of that, possibly both long and short. it will tell you which. haxchi for example changes both and negates all other languages since other languages including Japanese are in there.

Is renaming the folder necessary?

I understand this part. But the "adding +1 to the titleID" thingy. I can edit meta.xml, but i cannot rename the folder.

yes, normally games come in code/content/meta folders. that file is in the meta folder. with haxchi, it renames the short and long folders, but blanks the other entries. it may be determined by the region which suggests you alter accordingly.

So Haxchi takes care of everything. I can use an illegitimate DS title for that since I use CBHC?

it shouldn't matter. if you're afraid, uninstall cbhc, then grab that meta.xml file. after that, change that title. then, copy the file. I think haxchi will still work even on cbhc. that's how it works for me. I still have it saying redNAND as well as the icon on cbhc.

well, cbhc can brick the system for deleting the title, moving the title, or formatting the system. I copied my game, so I have a different icon and title. I even backed up the meta.xml to two hdds. I aldo backed up the original sys_prod.xml for regionhax.

The easiest way to do it would be to just use a totally different ds game for the second haxchi that way you have a zero brick chance. Or even use the same ds game just from a region. Or you could just install the homebrew launcher channel from here https://github.com/dimok789/homebrew_launcher/releases

That's what I want to do : use a different game from the one I used for CBHC, but the guy bricked anyway while doing this if I understand.

No he installed two brain ages thus why he bricked he also never changed anything with the second non ligit version so when he installed it that wiped out the ligit brain age cold boot haxchi causing the brick as you need a ligit version to cold boot.

the reason for the brick is the ticket. I think if it's first in the ticket bucked and fake, the game won't initialize. it's needed for decryption and booting.

I think they wanted to load a Homebrew app directly. Not the launcher.

cbhc won't mess up by going into the hbl. it will only brick the system if you move the game, delete the game, or format the system without first uninstalling.
