If either of you had read the older posts you would know that shininess is determined when you enter the area for NON-legendaries and for legendaries/UBs when the battle starts.
I have read the other comments. I basically said the same thing. But from what I've seen, Legends don't change. I tried to reset for a better nature mewtwo and each time it had Sassy nature and the same IVs.

I'm sure he is in ultra space somewhere.

You didn't say the same thing. Legends and UBs are determined when the battle starts, NOT when you enter the area, which is what you said. Legends DO change, just try more than just twice. I've been soft-resetting for the legends so far and although they often have similar natures, in 8 tries for Kyogre I got 6 different ones for example! Also, Synchronize works great for getting specific natures.

What are you trying to do exactly? If you are trying to make them reappear after you capture them, just change the flag in PKHeX for the legendary you want.
No, that's not what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to bypass the minigame entirely and just warp to the pokemon you want to capture. I already captured it in my save and don't have one from before, hence why I asked if someone could test it to see if it takes you straight to Zapdos or not. I'm not trying to re-encounter it OR make it shiny.

Also, no need to be rude a simple "No, this is how it is" would have sufficed. Since the games aren't released there is conflicting information everywhere with nowhere to look for absolutely concrete evidence.

Okay but I tried more than twice then said Fuck it.
Edit: Also you need to pull your head out of your ass. I was going off of my experience. All you had to say was it was different from yours.

That's probably it then. When I tried, I had the volume down. Didn't know there was a call.
You don't need to hear it, it physically displays it on the screen..... I.E before you walk up to start the battle with Zapdos a text box appears that says "Gyaoo!!" then you have to keep walking to start the encounter. I think you have to save before that.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Like you know, Mewtwo literally says. "Mew!!" before the battle.... You need to save before that.

Yeah. I got that the first time around. So Basically save as soon as you get into the wormhole and get the message that there is a legend.

I posted a link to a dataminer's post on twitter about it, so it's not about just personal experience. You can't say that the datamine is wrong when it's literally in the code.

Did you save before or after the pokemon makes it's call? I saved before and it works so I guess you may have saved after.......
Not really, I just stand one step away from where the encounter starts, saved and still get different natures...

Well I didn't see it. People are bound to miss something. I never said it was wrong.

I never said that saving before was a fact, it was a guess as I said. And regardless if you're right or not there is no need to be pretentious about it. Not to mention code can be read wrong (I'm not saying it was so don't assume I am) or misinterpreted; happens all the time.

You can correct someone without being a dick you know.

I haven't even seen a "clover" one yet.

They usually (25%-35%-ish) start appearing around 2,500+ light years, but you can have a run to 5,000 light years and not see one. I get them pretty frequently.

Let's see you use Aura Sphere against Sableye or Mandibuzz

I'd probably switch to Fairy, but it would depend on the situation--obviously can't switch out if you're on your last 'mon.

I keep hitting portals like right in the middle of the path so they're kind of hard to avoid

If you're using the stick, I sometimes find it easier to just flail around, especially at 3,000 light years because of the electrical orbs and their propensity to sit in the worst locations i.e., avoid this electrical orb or get sucked into a hole a nanometer to the right, but you're going to slow to avoid being pulled in and the yellow orb is right behind the electric orb.

You might find that gyroscope works better; I'm still trying to find a technique of using "A" to yank yourself back quickly.

Oh I was just new to it, took some getting used to I'm hitting all sorts of legends now. Even found 3 clovers in one run (obviously could only pick one to enter though Lol). I find it easier to use the C-stick personally. And the one's in the "middle" were when it sucks you into one regardless eventually Lol. I just thought I was bad at it haha

As soon as you go into the wormhole from ultra space, the Pokemon is already determined so I guess save before going into ultra space but there isn't any guarantee that you'll see that same legendary the second time around.
I think it's a regularly determined chance for UB's and Legends, meaning that you don't have to reenter the portal. If you're hunting non-legends then that's true

So I was wondering if anyone wants to test the map coordinates for Legendaries to see if we can force encounter them to reset....
I just encountered Zapdos and used PKHEX to find the map location, it's:
Zapdos
Map: 256
X: 1371.00000
Z: 3502.00000
Y: 0000.00000
R: 0.00000

Obviously backup the save first, but if it works we can collect them.
It didn't work for me. I only got Altaria, Sigilyph, Swanna, Swellow and Yanmega with 50 Soft Resets.

Changing map location does not work with Legendary's only UB's

I tried for a good while to get it working, it seems their is another hidden offset that is used to determine if you will encounter a Legendary or not
