So, no word on changing the aspect ratio at all, not even forcing it to stretch a bit? I've asked this before and no one answered.

anyone noticed any graphical glitches in Mario RPG? I've had a few places where sprites would actually cause some lines of different sprites to "flicker" or go completely invisible.

If I remember well it was in booster tower, or in any fight with many opponents... I can't remember if the game was always like that or if it's only the snes classic version doing that or something in hakchi... thanks in advance guys!

Real Snes hardware did that when too much happened on-screen, not unique to emulation.

I'm surprised no one is talking about that, there are few games I wouldn't mind stretching. I'm surprised it isn't even a built in option.
I believe someone asked Cluster about it, but he sounded like it wasn't possible, Maybe it isn't :unsure: I don't want to use RetroArch if I don't need it for a game (none of the games I have installed are incompatible).

Edit: Just sent a Tweet asking

I installed NES roms in my friend's Japanese Super Famicom, and yeah, the games were stretched, anything on the edges were covered by the layer background.

Just got my SNES mini and will be adding some ROMs using hakchi2. Just a couple of questions if anyone could possibly answer them?
1. The videos I've seen from over a month ago show that you have to manually select if the game supports 2 players, 2 players simultaneously etc. Is this still the case or does it recognise it automatically now?
2. In relation to the above question, if you leave it as single player but the game actually supports 2 players, will the multiplayer work or will it have to be readded with the correct option? Thanks

Is there a thread for custom box art? I made this one for an ENG Translation of Spider-man Lethal Foes

It's fixed and no if you list it as one player you can still play with two.

This usb host thing is still kicking my butt....

I've gotten it to load where my games are on teh main screen but that's it. Tried changing the desktop file like I've seen other people do but that results in either a C8 error or it just hangs on Madmonkey's hakchi logo screen.

I am hoping that it will get integrated in Hakchi2, from what I’ve been reading it’s not all too user friendly at the moment or stable.

you have a error in your desktop file!
this musst look like that
Code:
[Desktop Entry]
Type=Application
Exec=/usr/bin/clover-canoe-shvc -rom /var/games/CLV-P-SAAAE/CLV-P-SAAAE.sfrom --volume 100 -rollback-snapshot-period 600
Path=/var/saves/CLV-P-SAAAE
Name=Super Mario World
Icon=/var/games/CLV-P-SAAAE/CLV-P-SAAAE.png

[X-CLOVER Game]
Code=CLV-P-SAAAE
TestID=0
ID=0
Players=2
Simultaneous=0
ReleaseDate=1991-08-18
SaveCount=3
SortRawTitle=super mario world
SortRawPublisher=NINTENDO
Copyright=Super Mario World™ ©1990-1991 Nintendo

thanks, the only difference I see is with the exec path AND also the
"clover-canoe-shvc" you use, versus "clover-canoe-shvc-wr" I have been using.
Where do the USB games actually show up?
Can folders in the menu be made etc?
no videos on youtube to check where i went wrong at this time.

at the moment I have 3 games which appear, and even with Liriel's helps and exec path, I still don't get any further than black screen then back to the menu.
I think there may be more at play here... maybe there is some dependency which some people have and others dont.
ClusterM is feeling a bit better, so I hope he can work on this as a priority because the extra space is what we all need to open this bad boy up!

ALL SNES - just to keep it simple.

I have the answers and will write in clear easy to follow English.
Here is an example of working paths, and after experiments, why they work!

Type=Application
Exec=/usr/bin/clover-canoe-shvc -rom /var/games/CLV-U-WBAXQ/Super_R-Type.sfrom --volume 100 -rollback-snapshot-period 600
Path=/var/saves/CLV-U-WBAXQ
Name=Super R-Type
Icon=/var/games/CLV-U-WBAXQ/CLV-U-WBAXQ.png

1. Make sure the exec path uses /usr/bin/clover-canoe-shvc BEFORE the -rom
2. Do not use .7z extensions, use the sfrom.
3. Make sure the paths to the ROM and Icon etc are correct. Especially the /var/saves/ and /var/games

I can confirm that I have 2 games working using these paths.
I have NO idea why /usr/bin/clover-canoe-shvc-wr was not working.

I hope this helps those that can see the USB menu icons, but get the C7 errors.

Still isn't doing the trick for me unfortunately. When ever I change anything I either get a c8 error after the hakchi splash screen or the splash screen never goes away.

    @Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
