Yes but you can go to the gamefreak house in akkala, talk with the aether guy, and he will allow you to change it to circle pad

Does anyone know if you can get nebby before or after the elite 4? I got necrozma on my way up to the league and all the stuff needed to fuse him.

In Sun/Moon you need your box legend and to have become Champion, so might be the same but... You don't seem to be able to catch your box legend in the story either ._.

You find nebby in the path towards tapu koko's temple. Gladion mentions it.

I went there like 20 minutes ago, and I didn't get Nebby, I got Lunala.

Edit: My bad, I thought Nebby only was referred to as Cosmog, So how do you get Cosmog?

I went to Altar of the Moone, entered the reverse world, then in Lake of the Moone, with Lunala in my party, Cosmog appeared.
