I wanted to switch the 32gb sd card for a 64gb in my bs9 o3ds. Can i just copy and paste all the files and folders over or do i have to reinstall all the CIAs and what not?

Yeah, just copy everything over. No reinstalling anything needed. But before you do, you must format the 64gb sd card to FAT32 file system.

See i tried to just copypasta but the ststem says cannot read the data on the sd and the home screen just has the default apps

Thats so weird becuase the 32gb card ive been using is exFAT but sometimes the cia 3ds games crash. So i wanted to try a bigger card anyway
Nope 3ds can't read exFAT and never will and on that 32GB cards come factory Fat32

Hmm well im not trying to argue but my 32gb card is exfat and the 3ds reads it

Yeah you are.....

The 3ds does not read exfat. It is not coded to. There is no if, buts or maybe.

The only if, but or maybe is outside your 3ds. Look at your pc, sd reader etc. There is no possibility of you showing us a 3ds running exfat without a modified firmware undocumented on the internet including here on gbatemp.

Your confident in your ability or understanding..... there is no crashing, it won't load.
Why you bend, unless your not confident in your knowledge?
