No way Wal-Mart will leak it. They'd have to call a CSM to blatantly override the error which says it is not able to be sold yet lol. Unless they want to be fired, it's not going to happen lol.
I happened to find someone on the switch Reddit who managed to buy super Mario Odyssey at Walmart early. They don't put the error on everything either. Last week someone on Reddit got fire emblem warriors early at Walmart and there was no error at all. Plus I've also heard of Walmart managers overriding the error since it was their fault that the game was put out early.
hey so I need help understanding something. On the Japanese Amazon, I found the download code to buy, and its releasing on Thursday the 26th, at 12am. So, if google serves me right, since I live in the US central time zone, it will release at 10am on wednesday, tomorrow. is this correct? thanks
Are you sure it's Thursday at midnight and not Friday at midnight? IIRC Mario Odyssey comes out on the 27th everywhere.
That's what I thought, thanks for clarifying. If that's the case then Odyssey would be out at 10a.m. thursday for @Eastonator12 , Not Wednesday.

Maybe they didn't mean Wal-Mart? If so it Must be a horrible Wal-Mart (in this instance in a good way?) Where they're heavily risking their jobs. Things like that are put out ALL the time before release accidentally, and it doesn't give them the ok to sell it.
It depends, no offense to them but some Walmart managers I've seen aren't the brightest. I tried to buy an amiibo early once and the manager almost ok'ed it. judging by the case the games were in alone it was definitely Walmart. My Walmart has put out stuff early before.
