I don't even know if this is worth it, I thought I should do this because I would be using my 3ds for a lot more stuff after I install boot9strap.

My o3ds has a 4gb sd card with a few eshop games and homebrew, and my wii has a 16gb card with several homebrew apps on it. I want to switch the two so that the 3ds has the 16gb sd card (for boot9strap) and my wii has the 4gb card. my question is, if I transfer them, will anything be ruined and or damaged permanently?

everything should rwok ok

Nope. Get new cards. Black Friday will probably drop 64GB cards to....~$15.00 and drop 128GB to ~$25.00? Just guessing, but that is the better option. Though, to be honest, if you look on ebay or Amazon, you should be able to find a 250-320+ GB harddrive for about $30.00 with a Y-cable and that would be the better choice for your Wii U.
