A jailbreak for iOS 10.2.1 has finally arrived, after 7 and a half months, dubbed "Saïgon"
This jailbreak is still in beta!

It uses exploits from well-known iOS developers, including Ian Beer, Adam Donenfeld and Luca Todesco.
To install, you must sideload the .ipa file using Cydia Impactor, meaning you'll have to sideload it again every 7 days (Unless you have a developer account).
It's semi-untethered, meaning it requires you to launch the app to jailbreak your device upon every reboot.

Supported Devices
  • iPhone SE (10.2.1)
  • iPhone 6/Plus (10.2.1)
  • iPhone 6s/Plus (10.2.1)
  • iPad Mini 4 (10.2.1) (Not tested)
  • iPad Air 2 (10.2.1)
  • iPhone 6s (10.3.1) (not yet)
Installation
  1. Download the .ipa file and Cydia Impactor
  2. Open Cydia Impactor and connect your device
  3. Drag the Saïgon.ipa file onto the Cydia Impactor window
  4. Enter your Apple ID (email and password)
  5. Open Settings → General → Profiles & Device Management
  6. Trust the new certificate → open saïgon
  7. Tap 'jailbreak' and enjoy!

To install, you must run the app via Xcode, the .ipa file is not available yet.
The exploit works on all 64-bit devices, including the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, and uses the KPP bypass from extra_recipe, making it compatible with Apple A10 devices.

is this unthered?

I was reading about this a couple days ago. The ipa was made, but incompatibility issues made the developer take it down. Now I'm glad I stayed on 10.2.1. After work, I'm gonna try to get Xcode running in a VM, and pray I don't break everything.

Tested this with my iPhone 6s on 10.2.1. Sometimes it fails escaping the sandbox, and sometimes it seems to work, but it reboots and lets me run Saigon again as if nothing happened.

You'll have to rejailbreak upon every reboot. You'll need to sign the application every 7 days.
Or you can just use the modified cydia extender to sign it every week automatically but it means that you need to be jail broken the whole week

Still have my old 5S here... problem is that my Apple ID password has changed (thanx Apple with iOS 11 update and 2 factor authentication) perhaps I can finally unlock it with this?
(No... Apple can't help me with this iPhone, they claim that the purchase date is not the same as in their records)

I'm hopeful that eventually there will be a 10.3.3 jailbreak. I have an iphone 5s and i'm stuck on that right now lol. Still it's very cool to be seeing progress made in the community of jailbreaking :o

No, you need to unlock the phone to start the jailbreak, sadly.
Damn this is tethered AF
Not really, lol
