compiled RC5 going to test it. so far i will admit. i'm kinda scared to try this. I've don't things like this to my phones, wii, wiiu, xbox360, psp, vita, etc. but for some reason I've got a small fear for this.

i got RC5 on my pc anyone help me with the following:

1. how to disable the games in folders? is it possible to have all games in 1 page?
2. can anyone show me how to use retroarch only for the games that don't work like rock and roll racing !

thx !

Ok, found a store here that still had 10 snes mini's, so i grabbed one for me :)
Been having fun, with the included games and reading up a bit on this.

Is there a descent howto around for this tool for hakchi2 newbies like me :) (no youtube, just plain txt will do)
(Like tools needed to convert stuff and patch stuff)

So far i have hakchi and python 2.7.3 (and snes roms) on my pc, does it have to be python 3.6?

Thanks

Also do i lose the 20+1 original games, or does it just add up to the list.

In Contra at the beginning when you collect the Shield, the Shield has a very strange ghosting effect (scanline filter was on). Is that supposed to be that epilepsy filter?
In Super Mario RPG when you have Mallow in your team and use the Cymbals as a weapon, during the attack the Cymbal GFX can be slightly corrupted. (white lines)
I have spotted it when in the Booster Tower. I have that game here for the real SNES and I do not remeber seeing this problem there.

Those all sound like possible epilepsy filter corruption. No one has discussed how to 'turn it off' yet, as far as I know.

Done. Thanks for the hint. Forgot that :-)
New link? :D

Go to settings->folder/game. At the top click the disable and near the bottom change the number of games per page to 100 (or whatever number you want.

Have the problem with too big savestates been resolved when using Retroarch (it was the case with the Nes Mini at some point)?

How does the patching to sfrom and headers work? Say I want to add an obscure game (Brandish 2) or that I want to hack one (Final Fantasy 3) : will the rom be working automatically with the Snes emulator?

i just copied over the file (its my own server)
Awesome dude thanks.

After you change the game ID in hackchi.

Ok got the folder issue sorted out, but when i add the retroarch command line for rock and roll racing /bin/clover-canoe-shvc-wr -rom /usr/share/games/CLV-U-XFJBY/Rock_N__Roll_Racing.sfrom.7z --volume 100 -rollback-snapshot-period 600 --retroarch , i only get a C7 errror

can anyone sort me out?

You must Uncompress your game and use smc instead of sfrom. (copy to Directory)
/bin/snes -rom /usr/share/games/CLV-U-XFJBY/Rock_N__Roll_Racing.smc --volume 100 -rollback-snapshot-period 600

Tested Hakchi 2.18 rc5 and 2 Player Mode is not working on all of the added games. Is this normal ?

It works,
use first Headerless Rom then LoRom to NTSC.ips Patch from EvilGames. After that add them into Hakachi2 and set PresetID (CTRL+ALT+E) to 101D (For Zelda)

Thank you very much. It works.
And for my european Yoshi's Island I used 0x123D. Works!

Then I have only 1 issue left: Illusion of Time. But that's a known one.

Would it be possible to run the BSNES performance core with RetroArch on the SNES Mini?
For some reason I like BSNES more than SNES9x.
I lost track over the many SNES9x variations long time ago.
I know there was a 1.53 version but all just using the 1.52 core.
It is a bit messy situation. Maybe somebody can bring some light into this.

Great post!
I don't think bsnes will run on SNES Mini. At least, not with acceptable performance.

That’s not a solution at all, I understood you can alter the duration of the rewind feature and even set it all the way to 0. The longer the rewind the bigger the save state. I am curious how big the save states are when you set it to zero and thus disable it all together. I would test it myself but have no access to a windows machine at the moment. The save state manager should tell you what the difference is between altered save states.
