Here they are SNES Mini and NES Mini online manuals for offline use (all files are svilable at Nintendo official site).

Mmmmmmhhhhhh just figured out that html pages are in Italian, I downloaded the wrong folder... but manuals are "common" between languages so... it should be suitable :P

Original NES page.

Original SNES page.

The issue comes down to the Nintendo emulator actually being able to read compressed roms.

The Snes Mini supports .gz style gzipped roms in the native emulator. There's a piece of script that unpacks it if it is found. (Not my finding):

Code:
  *.sfrom)
    if [ -f "$1.gz" ]; then
        options="$options /tmp/ROM.sfrom"
        gunzip -c "$1.gz" > /tmp/ROM.sfrom
    else
        options="$options $1"
    fi
    ;;

User ss2man44 from reddit found this out. I was thinking about this yesterday, to pipe the gzip commands but this just works out of the box.

I know why, but it's a long story....
I'd be interested in hearing it
Are you sure?? :unsure:
Yes i'm sure lol

The USA version was also better because you could play JAP games on it, without needing any adaptors.

I actually was going to buy a USA snes mini, instead of my uk version, but they seem to be very hard to get hold of (therefore the prices are CRAZY).

Keep an eye out for more shipments, don't use the scalpers.

NES Mini is supposed to get a new shipment too.

for the european version

Quick questions guys. I read somewhere that you can install the NAND image of an SNES Mini on the NES Mini since both use basically identical hardware. Is there any merit to this? Are there any guides for this?
