This new session starts with @BobDoleOwndU. Our friendly friend will receive questions related to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain!
What does Snake hide to us?

RULES and info:
These are done in the same fashion as KYT. The public asks the questions, the questioned answers.
You may ask questions about the game, the persons experiences with the game, and generally topics relating to said game.
Interviews last 3 days.
NO HENTAI games.
NO QUICK TEMPLATES (I see any and you're kicked).
And lastly NO HATERS.

Sign up for KYG here (CLOSED):

and without further ado, ask away. :grog:

I almost forgot about this lol. Anyway, I've spent a lot of time modding this game as well. So feel free to ask questions relating to that if anyone wants to as well.

I didn't know you could mod it.
it's not on PS4 only? PS4 can mod games?

I played only MGS 1 on PSX, I suppose I shouldn't play MGSV right away ?
Which episode are required at least? any I can skip?

What kind of mods did you make? Will you allow people to download said mods?
I really lile the game, it was fun. And Kojima, oh man, gotta love that guy
I am also interested in said mods.
I've made model swaps, custom Lua scripts, animation swaps, sound swaps, minor texture edits, and modding tools. I was the first person to perform a sound swap, the first to perform an animation swap (as there was no tool for unpacking the animation archives until I made one), as well as the first to get first-person working properly with NPC models when used as the player's model. My latest venture is attempting to get custom models into the game. We've made good progress into that, with almost the entire model format having been documented at this point.

Absolutely. All of my mods are available on Nexus. And all of my tools are available on my GitHub.

It is available on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, and PC. I've made all of my mods on the PC version, but they can technically be ported to any version of the game provided you have access to its files. I ported one of my script mods to the PS3 version for fun a while back.

MGSV focuses on Big Boss' story, so it's probably best to at least play the games focused on him first (MGS3 and Peace Walker). Though you can dive into the game no problem even if you haven't played all of the previous titles. (This is actually what I did. I hadn't played a Metal Gear game before MGSV.)

on PS4, that game is cheap (less than 20€), and the price always decreasing. it's like "the game is bad and not selling, let's try to lower the price", or like it's an incomplete game and not a AAA+++ game.
I wish other games had their price going down with time too. (30 years old games remakes sold 60€ is just not nice)

I believe The Phantom Pain will be free next month for PS Plus members. So even if you don't intend to play it right away, it'll definitely be worth adding it to your library. It is by no means a bad game though. It was definitely one of the best of 2015.

The incomplete thing is a bit overexaggerated too. The rumor that it was incomplete was because somebody found a third chapter title card image in the files, but there are only two chapters present. Most of us believe that the third title card is still used in the game though. But in order for it to show, the Nuclear Disarmament event needs to be completed.

But yes. I agree. It is a bit ridiculous when very old games still have very high prices.
