There was another bunch of commits the otherday.

And gave this update..

Hey everyone,
It's been a while since my last update, so I just wanted to post what's going on:

Right now, I think I'm pretty close to getting it to work for x86 machines. I'm having some trouble with the way the memory model is working (The compiler is trying to compile instructions that are out of bounds, I'm pretty sure.). I hope to get it at least running before the end of this week, but we'll see.

So things are really close.

Awesome.

At least it is better than a certain person who promised a dreamcast emulator in summer. Cough Cough
Dolphin and/or Reicast might be possible once we get that update. Considering the Shield TV K1 can play both of those and the xbox easily out performs it.

I sure hope so, I think the biggest challenge at this point is for @Absestos to port these to begin with. I think he said something along the lines of him needing to work with libretro folks to convince them of supporting the uwp port.

it seems like when there isn't a new release of RetriX the entire Xbox One Homebrew community (For the most part) Drops off the face of the earth :rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:
I would say thats both good and bad.

Bad that it makes it seem like the scene is kinda hanging on by a thread. Good in that there is no daily dosage of drama, idiocy and bullshit like has plagued pretty much every console homebrew/hacking scene before.

After putting up with those kind of scenes before a few times, I'm rather happy to have a more calm one where stuff happens slowly, but steadily without any worries of everything being broken from one day to the next.

True. I'm very proud of the community that we have here. Everyone actually acts like mature civilized human beings. There hasn't really been any drama or infighting. Can't say the same for the PlayStation Scene

Oh yeah well it's fall now I think they're a bit late  If you ask me the only reason they "announced" they were "working" on a Dreamcast Emulator was a last ditch attempt to try and get money because we were, have been and are taking all of their sales because you can't compete with Free :) And honestly Brad Geng (XB1Emu Owner) doesn't deserve a dime. What he is doing is super illegal and super uncool. e.g. Filing False DCMA Claims to take down any competition he doesn't like, Knowingly Violating the GPL License etc

Coming from the PS3 homebrew scene, the 3DS homebrew scene, and the PSP homebrew scene, it is only a matter of time before this subsection of GBATemp becomes cancerous. When Retrix gets better and more people realize they can homebrew their XB1's pretty easily, you're going to have a butt-load of entitled teens in here demanding all sorts of crap and causing drama.

Dont even get me started on useless posts, repeat posts, warez requests, etc...

Can anyone give me a quick an dirty guide on setting up FB Alpha in Retix?

I got the version it needed, the archive is split into folders for roms, emulators, etc. (I assume it's like a typical MAME install after extracting the emulator you put everything where it goes after being extracted).

What I'm specifically asking about is where everything goes with Retrix, it seems like I'm always "missing something" on these installs and have to ask.

You just place your Arcade Roms anywhere on a usb drive. Then just browse to your desired rom in Retrix and boot :)

I'd love to see an options menu added (filter upscale x1, x2 etc., 16:9 aspect ratio) - not a demand, just a wish. Hopefully when the update comes it might be possible.

16:9 is nice. Back when I used my Raspberry Pi 3 alot for emulation I got pretty comfortable with setting all of my emulators to 16:9. It just looked better on my HDTV
