Hey guys! So as many of you know the event where they distribute Pikachus wearing Ash's cap is around the corner and that only one cap can be acquired per game, my question is the following I have 2 3ds and 2 copies of the games, if I were to export the save from one of them as a backup and started a new game every time to get all the caps through there would it affect my original save's usability online with game sync, pokemon global link events, etc.?

Doing that shouldn't be a problem, alternatively you could make a back up of your save and then get the pikachu and trade it to your other game and then restore the backup.

No, you won't have an issue with online usability, but why not just wait for the wondercards to be dumped and inject them all in one game? Then delete the wondercards to give the impression you only claimed one Ash-Cap Pikachu? My situation, I have 4 carts + 2 digital versions (CIAs built from cart dumps). So I'm pretty covered with those distributions.

I second the wondercard method. Also, it's not necessary but it's even more fun to dump your own wondercards with NTR Debugger and HxD then use the one you got yourself for re-injection. At least I enjoy the process anyway, plus it's neat having your own private dumped collection and the best part is if it's a serial code, you don't even have to use it to access and dump the gift!

That's exactly what I want to do! :) I wanted to restore the backup cause of the event z crystal I already have like mewnium and Snorium

Aren't the methods using injections, pkhex, etc. risky and capable of resulting in ban even if it is legit? :S

Not risky enough that people have been scared into stopping. I've been doing wondercard injection since Gen 6 and even region changed and claimed shiny Koko when it was Japanese exclusive.

I see. I guess I will have to consider that option too then, I heard that you could get banned by modifying currency (as in money, battle points, etc.) is it true? Or only if you do it by a ridiculous ammount?

I haven't heard of that being the case lately, the first couple months when SM was out, yeah, but people were editing it to ridiculous amounts. It's kind of pointless because you just edit your bag to have 50 of everything or something realistic.

The only thing I've noticed in regards to Pokemon and bans is changing save game region before using gamesync, then playing on your native language. When your save game region in game doesn't match the PGL = Red Flag. Other than that it's normally just people being over zealous and then playing online; and I don't mean cheating online. I mean, have X999 of all items, 9999999 battle points, unreleased mega stones (not an issue anymore) etc, you get the point.

I trade shiny Celebi's on WonderTrade all day long, even shows on my PGL page that I've traded like 200+ of them; and we all know shiny Celebi isn't legit. I haven't even gotten a PGL/GameFreak?Trade ban or anything, and certainly not an internet ban on the console.

just pksv you can get all wonder cards and pikachus without waiting
Well you can't get the EUR/USA region hat Pikachus. Only way to get unreleased events is by pulling the test.wc7 from the servers if they exist. Even if you do, they'll never make it to PKSM since they're merely placeholders.

I helped with the development of the original Event Assistant (Still has my personal Entralink/Dream World collections :D)

But yeah, if he just wants the Japanese ones they've been out for a while.

You've actually become a legend. People on PokemonShowdown talk about "I just WT'd and got a shiny Celebi, is it haxx?" a few times a week.

If you want, I've got a Wish Chansey you can start WT'ing; of course, it can be shiny.

Lol that's hilarious. I thank you for the offer but I have a legit wish chansey in my personal collection I could use (Great idea BTW!). I've literally gone to the ends of the earth to complete my event collections from Gen 1 - Gen 7. The Wish events, PCNY (Gen 2) and Pokemon Stamp collection (Gen 1) were probably the hardest to find.

Couldn't someone post the .pk7 or the .wc7 for each of the Cap Pikachus here or could someone give a link to where we could find them?

Just wanted to say if anyone does use PPorg, and they like downloading the archives vs individual wondercards, go to the github repo instead because it's updated as soon as wondercards are submitted. The zip in the event distributions section is only updated randomly.

Do they link the Github repo on the site anywhere?
