For testing purpose (and reassure you) SMB works great wih 11.5!

Yep, you won't have any problem. Tonight I'm going to update my O3DS, too (w/ Luma).

If you have A9LH or B9S it's ok to update. This is for all updates but it will be your own fault if you get banned or anything that renders your system, but it's safe to update trust me. I would prefer to stay on 11.5 and below though

That's very rare to get banned, ofc CFW isn't accepted by Nintendo. That's it.

You can mark the HBL .cia as working. Boot NTR selector works as well. Just tested both.

make a backup first in case u ever want to go back or something goes wrong or if something is broken. I updated last night (had a backup from after metroid returns was released, so it was about a week old). I made a new backup on 11.6.0-39 just in case. I tested 3ds games (used tik sweep to remove unused tickets last week as well 'til I figured out that fbi could do the same thing. ) anyway, 3ds games work, nds forwards work, chainloading works, homebrew like the hbl works. that's what I tested. if you're on b9s, it's safe anyway. that's what I'm on. lol

Was the friend list updated? In the last fw update it wasnt, so we could choose to not update and still go online.
Wondering it its the case again.

From what I've understood, I don't think Homebrew Exploits have been working on Old 3DS's for quite some time. Don't quote me on that though as I haven't tried to do that for a while.

EDIT: I'm running Firmware 11.6.0-39U on a New 3DS. I use a physical copy of OOT when using OOTHax and it's still has the Hack on it that worked with the previous Firmware Update.

Steelhax works great on 11.6, only RPGHax was dead before the update.

No, like .otherapp payloads on that smealum github site. Anyways, checked myself and there weren't any.
