True, but if you're banned you can always get unbanned
well depends. If the bans keep up there will be no local seed codes to leach off of. But if its not as bad then you would be right. But clearly Nintendo is trying to squeeze the life out of the 3ds so.... it depends.

It might be a good idea for op to put a big banner in the original post saying that ntrboothax, luma, and b9s haven't been patched. Otherwise we're gonna get a bunch of people asking this over and over.
Sadly no one decides to look into what they are installing. If they only knew how it works then they would know the answer that. It cannot be patched.

I doubt we will run out of seed any time soon, plus people can always donate there own seeds if they know they will never play online

Not if the data collection is continuous so that the minute someone enables wifi (or goes into the eshop) with a cia game they didn't purchase they get instantly banned.

It just seems fishy to me, why do a "stability" update and not patch any exploits/hacks?

Ok lets be serious. How many people don't use the internet on the 3ds in one way or another?

It's hard to tell apart a legit cia and a pirated one

Some people have multiple 3DSes or broken ones

And how do you get a localfriend code of a broken 3ds? I mean sure you can hardmod to get the data. But nobody likes hardmodding. Also people owning multiple of the same device is very few.

wrong. Nintendo could just check the ticket files.
Once again, it's hard to tell how they got those
