AFAIK, you should copy all the files from one card to the other, or else you might need to redownload the games that were on the SD card.
You wouldn't lose your save files as they are stored in the internal memory.

PS: I might be wrong regarding if copying files works to avoid redownloading, I haven't tried it myself.

If a simple file copy doesn't work, using disk cloning software may work

The SDCARD is formatted in Fat32, aka readable to a PC so you could plug the sd into your pc, copy it into a temporary folder and then put in the new card, then put everything back

OR

Right on the switch, copy ALL the SD content to internal memory, stick in your new SD card and copy everything over again.

Last I checked switch has no option to move data between SD and internal memory

It doesn't? I guess it's only for photos then. I put a 512 MB sdcard in for shits and giggles to see if it worked. (it does) I have lots of internal space right now so i don't need an SD card yet.

does these things don't come with manuals anymore? or people are dumbfucks to refuse to read them?

the 3ds had a pretty manual explaining with detail the process of switching sd cards, did nintendo finanly did go "figure it out yourself, we don't want to pay to give you manuals" route?

Lol, people just don't RTFM nowadays. You should know better.
They just unbox, store the leftovers in the box, and it goes to the basement/attic.
It guess it is faster to just look it up in google, rather than dealing with the mess in the basement/attic until you find what you are looking for.

I'm guilty. All my boxes BUT the switch is down in the basement. Why? I'm too lazy. It's in my storage room right next to my ...room. So i can be reminded about the money i spent 2 months ago.
None of the error codes can be googled tho. That's a REAL shame.
