I want some advice regarding this.
I bought another pair of joycons on launch day, and now the 4th player led doesn't work on the left joycon, should I return it to nintendo or not?
(Also sorry for the little hijack :P)
Sure.
I have my Switch for 6 Months and my left Joy-Con has a problem. He works perfectly fine but the left Joy-Con is missing a tiny plastic thing (In the picture). Because of that the Left joy-con dosent stuck in the Switch and can get removed without pushing the black button on the back side easily. Its really annoying and i cant remeber that i break it. I was everytime very carefull with the switch.

Is it a Factory misstake or is it my fault? Can i return it to get a new left Joycon?
Shouldn't be a problem to get it repaired, EU law is pretty good when it comes to warranty.

i sent my joy-cons off to nintendo germany the second week after release, because my left joy-con had garbage bluetooth.
i got them back - fixed - ,with a bag of goodies and a letter of condonation approximately 1 week later.

huh?
what kind of goodies?:)
amiibo?

toad pin, switch themed notebook and microfibre cloth, 5€ eShop code

AKA Junk ;) But I guess free stuff is free stuff ;)

you can't return it to the shop where you bought it without returning the whole switch system (unless you bought only the joycon, thats another story)
however, I think you can contact Nintendo, send them your broken joycon, and theyll either fix it or give you a replacement
Actually you can if you're sneaky at it and not exactly moral or legal:
  1. Buy a same colored Joy-Con from store.
  2. Take out the new Joy-Con.
  3. Place the defective one in the box.
  4. Return the box with the defective Joy-Con to store.
  5. Profit.

This doesn't work if the broken joycon is the one from the neon pack since colors are reversed (in the neon switch pack the left joycon is the blue joycon and in the colored joycon pack without switch the blue joycon is the right one iirc)

My left Joy-con had that problem too, since I was pushing UP so much playing Zelda. I bought the red and blue set, but I didn't need 4 Joy-cons... So I traded the grey set in to GameStop, and since I was a pro member and had a$5 more promo card too, they stacked everything to get me $42 for them as in-store credit. I put that towards Splatoon 2 for my girlfriend's Switch that I won here on GBATemp. So I essentially bought Splatoon 2 for her for only $18 USD with NO TAX (I was in Oregon, one of the few states without sales tax). I'm just shocked they didn't even test the Joy-cons to see if they worked, if they stayed clicked in, nothing. He literally too them from my hands, barely glanced at them, and set them on the counter. So you might wanna dfo what I did if Nintendo stiffs you, just trade them in towards a second set.

Sure it is still possible. For example: if your Switch bundled left Joy-Con is defective, then buy a complete set Blue Joy-Con controller. Problem with this is you have to keep your used right Joy-Con unless you buy a complete Red set controller as well, however doing this will arouses suspicion if trying to replace both at the same time.

I live in Denmark and had the same issue with both Joy cons, also after 6 months. I was afraid of taking it for warranty for obvious reasons. I managed to keep the console with me because I did not want it replace of be wipe off the save data. They return the joy cons a week later with those parts replaced in both joy cons and even described it in the service receipt that it was replaced those parts and received also a nintendo switch cleaning cloth for the screen. No charge. I would recommend take it to warranty.
