Hi to the community, i just have a question regarding the hacking of my N3dsxl 11.5 using dsiware.... i have done the system transfer already, and on the target console i noticed it says there is NO dsiware on the micro SD card... i followed the 3ds guide thoroughly and it was just fine until this step.... now my question are:

1.) what went wrong? and how to rectify it?
2.) what should i do to the source 3ds? should i restore it using the nand backup?

your inputs and help is much appreciated...thanks in advance....

  1. Restore the source 3DS pre-transfer NAND backup
  2. Check the hacked save works and if not repeat the part of the guide that deals with that
  3. Go to System Settings ->Data Management ->DSiWare
  4. Move DSiWare to SD card
  5. Put the source SD card in the target system
  6. Go to System Settings ->Data Management ->DSiWare
  7. Move DSiWare from SD card to system memory
  8. Continue on with the guide
This won't work if you formatted the target after the transfer. If you are sure you didn't format it, and you are sure the NAND backup of the source was taken at the right time (before the transfer, with no system format in between) and it won't work (on the target it won't let you move the DSiWare to memory), and you don't mind spending another $2, buy the game on the target and do this again. This has worked for people.

I formatted the target before the transfer...i just followed the guide... I was able to transfer the dsiware game tio the target console already... Not sure though how to restore my source console...

Restore your NAND backup and call Nintendo to have your NNID moved back (unless you want to keep it on your target). If you don't want to restore your NNID then remove it from the source by injecting a blank nnidsave.

Im not sure how relevant the info was. but i did see someone within the past 7 days whom called nintendo and got rejected of a transfer release as there was a game, faceez on the NNID account.

Found the post. its https://gbatemp.net/threads/help-with-my-nnid.483340/#post-7562104

So OP just needs to wait 7 days and do another system transfer from the target to the source.

what do u mean by that? i can leave my nnid to the target console and just make a new one for the source 3ds... now my concern is how could i restore that source console?

Restore the NAND backup.... The guide even tells you to do this....
Section IV - Restoring the source 3DS
  1. On the source 3DS, complete initial setup
  2. Do one of the following
    • Do the rest of the sections and then the full guide on the target 3DS, then wait one week (do not restore your NAND backup before system transferring), then System Transfer from the target 3DS back to the source 3DS (remember you cannot transfer back from a New 3DS or New 2DS to an Old 3DS or Old 2DS)
    • Call Nintendo and tell them you no longer have access to the device that your NNID is linked to (which is the target 3DS in this case), and would like it linked to a different device (which is the source 3DS in this case)
    • You can also just remove the NNID from the source 3DS if you’d prefer it remain on the target 3DS
  3. Reboot the source 3DS while holding (Start) to launch GodMode9
  4. Navigate to [0:] SDCARD -> gm9 -> out
  5. Press (A) on <serialnumber>_nandmin_###.binto select it, then select “NAND image options…”, then select “Restore SysNAND (safe)”
  6. Press (A) to unlock SysNAND overwriting, then input the key combo given
    • This will not overwrite your boot9strap installation
  7. Input the key combo given to unlock SysNAND (lvl1) writing
    • This process will take some time
  8. Once it has completed, press (A) to continue
  9. Press (A) to relock write permissions if prompted
  10. Press (Start) to reboot the source 3DS

i think of have done that, somehow i manage to restore my source 3ds by just letting my nnid to be in the target console.... now im working on the target and im stock on the configuring the tLuma3ds.... on section VI of the guide...it wont reboot to luma config after installing boot9strap...any idea why is that so?

Use tikShop - you can get it easily through the TitleDB feature of FBI. Run it and then most or all of your game icons should come back.

If you don't have FBI installed already, you can get it here: https://github.com/Steveice10/FBI/releases/latest

Just install / launch that however you please, then go to TitleDB -> wait for the refresh -> scroll down to TikShop -> hit install.
thank you..trying it right now... ive seen in the fbi list of homebrew (i guess) something like Playcoin or Playcoin Setter, may i ask if what does it Do? is it useful to 3ds?
