I copied the boot9strap.firm and .sha file

Please clarify. Where did you copy them? Assuming you flashed that firm to your cartridge, it was the wrong one. You need to flash boot9strap-ntr.firm for ntrboot. The regular boot9strap.firm is meant for firm0/firm1 on your console.

You can test it though. Just copy GodMode9.firm to the root of your SD card and rename it to "ntrboot.firm". If GodMode9 boots upon performing ntrboothax, it works.
I did that and even when i removed the luma payloads so the chainloader menu doesnt pop up it still just loads luma and home menu which is i nsleepmode unti l iremove the magnet.Does it not work?

Hey guys, please, :c did this could work on a 11.5 sys? I mean the R4 gold.cc

I mean that I copied the boot9strap.firm and .sha file to the folder "boot9strap" made on the microsd. I'm trying to unbrick a console, and did the same thing for that. Looking at the tutorial for flashing the cartridge, I'm not sure if I got it right. On the patched exe, it said the hardware was reset correctly. I even restored it with the non-patched exe, all fine. So I'm not even sure if I patched the exe correctly.

I'll go ahead and assume that you held all the right buttons (Start + Select + X) while powering it on. The fact that your 3DS is in sleep mode after booting up regularly at least signals that the magnet sits where it is meant to be placed.

On my device, the blue power indicator LED turns on after a short ~2 second delay when performing ntrboothax (as opposed to immediately when booting normally).
If you end up on your home menu, one of the following is true:
1. You don't have an NDS cartridge in your slot, or B9S-ntr wasn't flashed correctly
2. You weren't holding your buttons properly
3. Misplaced magnet

That's for installing boot9strap to your console's firm0 / firm1 partition using SafeB9SInstaller. It's not directly related to ntrboot itself, but you can boot SafeB9SInstaller as a payload after performing ntrboothax.

Make sure you got the latest version of GodMode9.firm as ntrboot.firm, that might fix the "Unsupported Launcher" error, not sure.
Edit: Worth noting, that's a good error because it means that ntrboot most likely worked.

Question. Does the ARDSi still require a windows xp to be able to run the drivers properly to use the ar? or can this be run on windows 7?

I still get the unsupported launcher thing. Just powering on a hacked console with the DSi cart inserted, if on the home menu it doesn't show any title information, appearing like no cartridge is inserted, does that mean the cart was flashed correctly?

Holy shit, these 3 carts added to the list are amazing, good job!

worse-case scenario, you could run an XP virtual machine in VirtualBox to get it working properly.

I managed to run it on Windows 8.1, so it should work for Windows 7.
I think ive got everything in order. WHen I use the start select x power combo. my old 3ds will power on. and while holding those buttons for serveral second will just power back off. Is this something ive held power too long for? or has something went wrong. 3ds doesnt show anything inserted when it goes to home screen and dsi shows a ards. So i believe the cart itself is working.

With or without SD Card Slot on the ARDSi?

just a update to my question. I was able to get everything loaded with the ntrboot. Just setting up my old 3ds now :D

Like 4 others before me in this thread I have the ARDS without a cable ...
In any case - it's a spectacular job to make this junk usable again!

Is anyone up for creating a soldering diagram to hook it up with USB?

I have my SD set up how the 3ds.guide says to do so and I have a ntrboot'd ARDSi. Why wont it boot? The magnet sleep modes the o3DS just fine, it just wont boot the stuff I want.

I already had some work done to try and port NTRBoot to the ARDS and tried to contact Wolfvak to see if we could collaborate (I've got an Action Replay DS Media Edition, which normally can't be flashed via Code Manager, but figured some stuff out in order to do so) but got no replies. I'll check if I can get NTRBoot working on my ME soon.

By the way, patching the Code Manager app can be avoided. Bytes 0x04-0x05 in the firmware file contain the CRC16 Modbus of the rest of the file (starting from 0x08 until EOF), calculate that and you won't need to patch the EXE anymore (I might write a tool that calculates and fixes the CRC of these files automatically and does some other stuff, such as rebuilding a firmware file from a ROM - something important for an ARDS ME as there are no official firmwares out there - as soon as I have some time to spare).

EDIT: Confirmed working on Action Replay DS Media Edition.

EDIT 2: ARDS firmware file with correct checksum - no Code Manager patching needed. http://www.mediafire.com/file/d7oo6d2im5l1e76/ards_ntrboot.bin

I'm having a lot of trouble with this. I'm using the ARDSi that doesn't have an SD card and an unhacked O3DS running 11.4. I have SafeB9SInstaller named ntrboot.firm on my SD card along with the boot9strap folder and required files.

Booting with the magnet and start+select+x+power held down simply boots to a black screen. If I move the magnet away, the home menu starts. Nothing else happens.
