Uhh, do you have a PSP? It lags playing the SNES Super Mario All-Stars and GBA Yoshi's Island. The Genesis emulator has performance issues in some (A lot) games so you have to use the fast renderer which is ass. N64? Please don't even joke. It can only run a handful of games full speed and that's without any sound.

Agreed, PSP is only better if you specifically want PS1 / PSP games.

Emulation,well yes the psp has a better emulation number with all the classics and ones that the 3ds doesnt have such as n64 and some Saturn games I think along with native ps1 games,I can agree on that.But the 3ds has vc injection so it runs all the classics natively anyway while the psp is strong enough to run a stable framerate with just emulation,so it's like we are comparing apples and oranges at this point.They both do good at playing classic games and that's the bottom line.

Music playing,Not much of a difference.The 3ds has a music app and a homebrew music player aswell as being able to use your flash card as a music player.

Video playing,Same thing as music playing.Not much of a difference.

Brick recoverer, I guess someone doesn't know about ntrboothax,which recently just came out.You can unbrick with just a flash card and a magnet.Cant get any more simple then that.

Exclusive games, Are you serious? You are comparing first party from a 8th gen handheld to a handheld that came out between the 6th and 7th generations and claiming that to be better?! You do know you have the vita right,which is a handheld that came out around when the 3ds did,but oh wait it has no exclusives,so it's not fair right? Pathetic.I hope you do realize the 3ds not only has its own first party exclusives but also ones on the ds aswell thanks to it having bc with other ds games.

Custom GUI, Once again ill agree,the psp does have a nice theme GUI changer with cfw which is something the 3ds doesn't have yet.

No contest yet they both have advantages over the other.

I prefer the 3DS for emulation mostly. But it's because most classics worth emulating are Nintendo consoles, which has VC. I do use PSP for its exclusive games and PS1 emulation, but honestly the only thing stopping me from porting my VCs from my PSP Go emulators to my 3DS is laziness.

i have a psp, vita and n3ds. 3ds has better far emulation. Can play star fox and top gear 3000 on snes. Really depends on your game preference. 3ds can do snes, gba, nes, tg16, genesis and more natively but its def no replacement for ps1

Except PSX emulation, 3ds is better than PSP. You can almost replace your PSP with your smartphone (I believe that everyone has one), but you cannot use it to replace your 3DS.

No, it isn't. The n(2)3DS is much faster at emulation. It's CPU and GPU are miles ahead and it has more ram. Also, that Saturn emulator for PSP is completely unplayable. You'd be lucky to get 10fps in most games. The homebrew and native emulators on 3DS are better then the PSP ones. N64 emulation on the PSP sucks as well. I swear you people don't even have a PSP or haven't used it in years. The PSP can barely emulate the SNES "Super Mario All-Stars", a game the 3DS easily emulates.

In that case,It's kind of odd that we are comparing the psp in the first place to the 3ds since its very outdated and the vita is stronger.Other then that getting back to emulation,The gba I know runs great on the psp while the 3ds has to inject most of them to keep a stable framerate since 3ds benifits more from vc then emulation,so im pretty shure most of the other snes games on the psp are stable with emulation such as super Mario world and whatever else.

Actually gpsp runs better on any of the 3DSs with CFW then it does on PSP. Yoshi's Island stutters like a bitch in some levels on PSP while the 3DS keeps a silky smooth 60fps. (And no, SNES is known for being shit on PSP. Even basic games need frameskip.)

My Go lags a bit on Yoshi's Island and DK Country 3, but in general GBA is fine and most SNES is ok. Still feels better on a 3DS though.

Nope, I have the lastest versions on my PSP GO (6.61 LME Infinity CFW). The fact of the matter is that the PSP is SLOWER then the 3DS. That's a fact. I never said SNES and GBA were unplayable on PSP. SNES requires frameskip to play almost any game and GBA lags in a few games. This doesn't occur on 3DS.

I have both tyl and tylcm. They both need frameskip to play Super Mario All-Stars or Donkey Kong Country. Super Mario RPG is completely unplayable. I've been enjoying it on my 3DS though. I mean, stop being delusional. It's a fact the PSP is slower then the 3DS. So it's common sense that the emulators would run better on the 3DS.
