Hello,

I would like to force a PAL wii to boot on NTSC(for use on an old NTSC CRT TV).

I found out about AnyRegionChanger today and I was wondering if I could just change the video mode to NTSC and save without actually changing regions.

So that the Wii stays PAL but the video mode is NTSC.

Thanks.

Update:
Went ahead and region changed the Wii using ARC offline mod(I did, of course, install a few 4.1 wads before ARC-ing)

Worked like a charm!

What used to be an EU PAL wii is now a US NTSC wii(with a nice blue theme to boot).

Works on all the TVs I have(even the CRT NTSCs).

Thanks for the help guys!

I know it may be time consuming but if you could, maybe you should write a tutorial and post it for others that run into the same problem you have.

I needed to region-change another Wii. This time a Jap wii to US.

Found out about ModMii's Region Changing capabilities and used it instead.

Worked even better and a lot easier.

All you have to do is choose from the menu items and you'd have a region changed wii in no time.

Modmii is so easy to use, writing a tutorial feels a bit redundant since Modmii itself would auto-generate a tutorial for you.
