i just bought a brand new gba supercard, and athough i don't have a 2GB sd card to test this with yet, i decided to plug the supercard into my GBA to see if it could boot into the main menu properly....well unfortunately when i turned my gba on, the supercard didn't even boot into a menu of any kind at all. is this supposed to happen?

here's my question:

-do you need to have a 2gb card with homebrew inside in order for supercard to boot into its main menu?

computer shops here only sell 4GB sd cards, which i assume would not work with the gba supercard. so its going to take me a lonnnnnnng time to find a 2gb sd card to test the sueprcard with, it could even take months maybe, or even longer than that.....which is why i need to ask you guys if my supercard not booting into the main menu without a 2gb card inserted is a telltale sign of its defectiveness or not.

thanks so much for your help

it said not find the sd please turn off gba

IIRC, it should boot and just give an sd not found error if you don't have a card in.

i didn't get any "sd not found" error at all, all i see on the screen is the word "gameboy"

i think the game slot on my gba might be broken, will do more testing and post back later.

sorry for the late reply, as it turns out there was alot of dirt trapped inside the cartridge slot of the gba console which prevented all my game carts from booting properly, after cleaning it up, my gba was able to boot the gba supercard and all my other game carts just fine. the gba supercard is now working perfectly as it should.

thanks for the help everyone! thank you all!

Let me know if you get gba games working on it. I could never get them to work.

hi darth! i tested all the games that i owned and also some homebrew on it and it worked, i just converted the games using the supercard software, put it inside a folder and it booted up without any problems.
