Hacking Help? How do I work Hans?

Sorry, I'm new to this.


I opened up HANS for the first time because I wanted to take screenshots of my Pokemon Sun game. When opened, it gave me a screen that wanted me to set things. This includes: region, language, FW version spoof, N3DS CPU clock, Code> SD, Romfs> SD, and Save configuration. The only one I know how to set, is Language, and region (the region doesn't even allow me to select Canada, so I assumed I had to set it to USA).
Can someone please tell me how to set these things, and if I even need to set them. I haven't clicked Ok yet.
I probably sound like an idiot, and there is probably a simple answer. I'm just new to HBL. (Run Soundhax)

I understand your problem. I had to go through that too. Hans is a modding tool so you can work stuff like CTGP-7 and other rom hacks.

I'm not really interested in getting rom hacks at the moment. I want to take screenshots of Pokemon Sun, for GTS giveaways.
Do I need to change the settings that appear when I open up HANS? or keep them the way they are?

I don't know. the only way that I know of taking screenshots is by getting ntr, but that requires luma cfw.

Alright, but when I launch HANS, it makes me configure some settings, and I have no idea what half of them are. It has an OK button and an EXIT button. Do I need to change these settings? I'm using it for Pokemon Sun, and haven't done anything besides gen some pokemon. Do I need to change these settings?

from what i remember you need to put USA on region, English on language, in current title it should have the code for pokemon sun, leave the other settings as they are and then put ok, it will launch the game and you can take screenshots by pressing the home button.

Thanks! I just changed the region and language. I have some genned pokemon though, so I do need to change save configuration to yes?

if those are the settings you will always use then yes, just make sure you have an American console, also if things don't work with Hans and you have the latest luma cfw (8.0+), you can take screenshots by simply launching the game then pressing L+Down+Select then selecting take screenshot, the screenshots will be saved in the /luma/screenshots folder of your SD card.

What do you mean the settings I will always use? I am going to use it often, to take screen shots of my genned pokemon. So do I need to set save configuration to yes? Sorry for sounding dumb, I'm just new. Thanks!

Alright, thank you! Setting my save configuration to Yes. Also, I live in Canada, and bought my 3ds in Canada. However, it doesn't give you an option to select Canada. So I go with USA right?
