also theres a file in there called
clc_enu_samantha_cfg1.dat

goggling that i found a source code

Github

and that points to some old android Motorola tts files.
which is kinda odd because thats another engine.
as well as another company called
Nuance, a (TTS company)

see here for some of there work. if we can at least replace it with this this would be cool
http://codefactoryglobal.com/speech-technology/voice-licensing/
dosent look free but its a example
Why is it that Japanese Kyoto sounds so realistic? I wonder what English voice would be the best fit.

Wow, adding another text to speech language inside Tomodachi would be amazing. But it does sound super hard
Has anyone made progress in this? I'd like to start modding and translating, but I have 0 experience.

@xdarkmario @Calafska
Cool, I just figured out what exactly those .bin "ENU" files are, and how they can be swapped out for higher quality versions.

Tomodachi Life voices are created using low-quality versions of TTS voices from Nuance.
I found a site that allows you to download a demo of any Nuance TTS voice (all are high-quality).
Surprisingly, the computer TTS files are the same file-format as the Tomodachi Life speech files. (except they are HUGE compared)
Here is my Tom US voice:

I think someone COULD replace the 3DS Tomodachi speech files with the high quality ones,
but the game would take up like 2 gigabytes.
btw i downloaded the voice file but in which folder would i find that bin?
Edit i unpacked the inno setup and got it

Lol I forgot about this,
@xdarkmario have you looked into this any more since like last year? (I think it was)

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Also, the other guy that was helping me with this was banned for some reason?
I dunno, can't even remember his username.

Sorry for reviving this dead thread, but I can't seem to find the site mentioned that allows you to download demos of TTS files. May I ask what it is?

Also, has any progress been done on this? I checked Kuriimu2 and there doesn't seem to be any way to edit LZ archives. There's only an option to decompress/recompress them.
