Make sure is sony licensed. It has the playstation logo on it!

That won't work, I have been having this issue for months and have tried every resolution you guys have offered. I truly understand where he is coming from with this issue, it SUCKS! I've tested 3 to 4 different computers too. Please message me if you find the solution.

Just as the title says. FW 3.60 Henkaku. System is running unsafe mode, select button is set to USB, but my PC doesnt read the drive at all. Uninstalled CMA, got a fresh reinstall of QMCA and I never get any notification saying its connected. When I refresh the database, it give me the error message saying that no PS Vita has been installed. I tried running Zadig 2.3 to build up the database, but the only thing that is recognized is my webcam for my PC. I even ran a factory reset for both my PC and Vita and still ended up with the same results. Any help would be appreciated. Please, im going insane here.

It's crazy because at one point I messed with my QCMA settings and fixed it (transferring via Savedata), but this USB mode never worked.

So you also having problems with QCMA or VITASHELL?

Maybe the pins on the motherboard connector got damaged somehow? Can you check that?

I've got another Vita with the charging port damaged and can't use it until I get a replacement. I can do the repair myself, but will have to wait until I find where to get the part at a good price without those expensive shipment charges.

My VitaShell USB mode has NEVER worked, of course I've done the basic troubleshooting, uninstall reinstall everything. Use correct setting in QCMA blah blah blah. Get new/different cables, try different computers, etc. Nothing worked.

If you're using vitashell USB you don't even need QCMA. Also pressing select may open FTP instead of USB. Double check that, can change it in settings. Also if you plug in the usb into a PSVita case or so it won't work. Has to be directly into the vita. That's my ideas.

Umm you don't need QCMA for vitashell usb mode. :ninja:

Not sure what else to say, I would suggest formatting the system but that would mean losing data you probably don't want to do. Maybe try a different version of vitashell? Does the FTP least work? Can you least use basic sony vita content manager? I mean if that can't recognize the system then something is wrong with the system.

Ive transferred files via QCMA utilizing the SAVEDATA method over 100 times. So I know the charging port works.

Yes everyone I understand that using VitaShell USB is all I need, but I'm saying I MUST use QCMA to transfer (or FTP) since VitaShell isn't working. I'd be happy pressing Select and transferring straight Vita to Computer. I've even used Zadig to fix my drivers, nothing works. My computer doesn't recognize my Vita at all.

Are drivers missing or something?
He just said he used zadig to fix the drivers. I think its more likely that broke them but who knows. I just wanna know if he has a powerpack case on his vita, and whether or not he's plugging the usb cable into that. It's one of those things that could slip your mind entirely.

If you actually want to troubleshoot and fix it here's what you do. Update henkaku and vitashell. Plug in the original usb cable (can try others if you have it). try all of the USB ports on your PC. doublecheck it says usb, not FTP in vitashell. If it doesn't work try on someone else's computer without installing anything at all for vita. no zadig, no QCMA. just standard. if it doesn't work there either, well then you deserve a trophy because that's pretty fking weird.

Zadig is only for QCMA, not VitaShell's USB drivers. In USB mode, it acts as a mass storage device, which should be a default driver installed by Windows.

I understand what your saying, but I've deleted all drivers and plugged my vita in to see if it installs automatically, but nothing works. I've install open CMA to ensure the vita drivers right. I wish I had one of you guys around, because I'm obviously doing something wrong. I took these measures prior to VitaShell USB mode, by the way, not doing Zadig for VitaShell.

Thanks will try. I should probably do a video to show that I'm following every step accordingly. But take my word for it, I've probably done this before. Doesn't hurt to try. Thank you again.

I think the issue was the cable I was using. It was a little thinner than the working thick cable.

Holy crap, it worked. Man I swear I've been working this issue since God knows when. Thank you very much.
Hold on, what worked for you? My official Vita cord should be here in 3 more days and I wanna try what you did since you had the same problem as me.

Now I see why everyone was confused. They thought that your posts were mine and got them mixed. So long story short, when using VitaShell or MolecularShell you don't need QCMA at all my friend. When you get that good thicker cable soon, just plug it up then go into either VitaShell or MolecularShell then make sure your settings say Select is USB. Then exit settings and press Select. Your computer will open your UXO folder. This will 100% work.
