I just got boot9strap on my 2ds a few days ago and want to use PKHex on Pokemon Omega Ruby. I thought you either have to be on 9.0-9.5 or have A9LH on your console for it to work, so I tried it and its not working. Does it not work on 11.5 with boot9strap?

what QR method are we talking about here? the old use browser to modify the game in RAM or the new stuff where you use a patch to use the games built in QR reader to import pokemon? the latter works just fine as long as you apply said patch to your games code.bin (luma can use .ips files for this)

Dump your save with JKSM and edit it with PKHeX, faster than scanning every single QR code you made
Yea but most of the time I like adding just one pokemon to it so its really a waste of time to dump the entire save just for one pokemon.

Well your best option is to use PKSM then when you want simple changes.
When you want full edits/ gens then just use an FTP to transfer your save back and forth instead of taking your SD card out and having to reboot your console a bunch. Most people that don't want to use PKHeX because "too much work" forget that sending files through wi-fi is a thing. It takes more time to remove your SD card than it does to transfer a pokemon save via wi-fi.
