Switch hacking seems to be going unusually fast suddenly, and although I'm fully aware that it may still take some time (measured in years), it does make me wonder about certain possibilities that a Switch hack could bring.

This is if course besides the most obvious: piracy.
Don't even bother trying to deny it. Most of you are all waiting to skimp on spending.

What I'm personally more interested in, though, is Breath of the Wild. Or more specifically, modding Breath of the Wild.
If games like Skyrim and Fallout are any indication, it shows that great open world games attract those that would spend hours modifying it (either out of personal preference or humour).
I've also heard multiple times that the Switch is supposed to be easy to develop for.
What would this mean for modders?
You think it's a possibility?

Nah, I'm fine with just sticking to calling you out for talking shit.

Not sure what Tonydaexpert means here, but there is, in fact, a Switch pokemon game in the works.

On a more interesting note:
Streaming PC games to your Switch.
And it looks like it doesn't even need a hacked Switch to work.

That would be awesome. With how popular the game is I'm almost sure we will be seeing mods for it, only question is what kind of mods and how in-depth will they be. I would love an unofficial expansion pack adding new dungeons and enemies, or new runes and shrines to make use of them.

What I'd like to see are things like custom dungeons, weapons and armour.
But those are only rather basic things. The only limits to good modding are the modders' extent of imagination, skill and time (and perversion. Yes, this is unavoidable).
I've seen mods made for certain games (mainly Bethesda RPGs, since I'm most familiar with those) that go beyond what everyone expected the game engine to be even capable of.
How in-depth they will be is only a matter of waiting and seeing, because we have no idea ^^

There's always one XD
