I have recently installed BS9, and I'm currently on the Latest Luma. For some reason, whenever I go into "microSD Management", (which I do frequently. Ain't got time for taking that microSD out...) and attempt to shut off my 3DS, it crashes. I am able to shut it off at that point, so it's not like I'm stuck or anything, but it is a little disconcerting as to why it happens all the time...
I have uploaded a copy of the .dump file that it created for further examination. Thanks for the help that anyone can provide!

(Info:
BS9 version = 1.2
Luma3DS ver = 8.1)

Test your micro sd card. Part of it may be corrupted. If this is a constant issue that bothers you, backup and format your sd card, or buy a new one.

I thought that it was time to upgrade anyways, so I went ahead and bought a new microSD Card. I copied everything over to the new card and tested it in microSD Card Management, and it had an identical crash. In addition, now I have a new issue...
My 3DS takes about 5 times longer to boot, and also refused to save my themes, rather they be legitimate, or custom themes. I can select themes, but when I restart my 3DS, it goes back to the default white theme. I thought that "read only" was on, so using Windows, I went through and selected all my files and confirmed that "Read Only" was turned off. Also, I checked to make sure that my saves were operational, and yeah, saves are working fine, as well as framerates.

Here's my SD Card specs:
Previous SD Card = 32GB SDHC formatted as FAT32 (UHS Speed Class 3, UHS-1 max)
New SD Card = 128GB SDXC formatted as FAT32 (UHS Speed Class 1, UHS-1 max)

TL;DR
Changed SD Card, and now boot time takes longer, and themes won't save.

Check it with H2testw https://3ds.guide/h2testw-(windows) or F3X https://3ds.guide/f3x-(mac)

Also, it is normal that very large SD cards cause longer boot times.

Okay, I checked the SD Card with H2testw, and it all checked out okay. Incidentally, I tried formatting the SD Card using GodMode9 from the NN3DS itself, (last time I used Gparted in Ubuntu to format it as FAT32) and now I can properly use themes, so it solved that issue. Boot time is still slow, but as you've said, that's normal. I wasn't aware of that, so thanks for letting me know.

...As it so happens though, my NN3DS crashes just as frequently, ever after changing the card and reformatting! As a matter of fact, the crashes seem more frequent and seemingly random now. Although fortunately, for all but one occurrence, the crash happens as I'm attempting to either shut off my 3DS, or mess around with some feature in NTR CFW. Not sure if those are related. I can upload more .dump files if that would help, I should have around 15 by now...

It's a known issue. Boot into Luma's config menu and enable exception handlers. That will most likely bring up the default Nintendo crash error and automatically restart the console. It's a bit better, but not a fix.

You might have some luck also enabling game patching. I did from most of my homebrew crashing. It didn't seem to help game crashing though. And Retroarch (whether homebrew or CIA) always crashes on exit.

It's just something we have to deal with for a while. Please post your dumps so developers can look into them and perhaps see a pattern or a fix.
