Do we know which OFW version we should be on yet to potentially benefit from this kernel dump's future exploitation? I'm still on 2.0.0 but, if the benefits of this dump can benefit those on 3.0.0, I might as well upgrade.

they tend to follow the self rule of don't release till it's patched to give them less of a chance to patch it

I am not sure it has an immediate connection. But snooping around could possibly lead them onto something that else would take more time to find. Are you sure it isn't (did they say how to got to it) or are you assuming? Just asking.

Guess I'm disabling updates while I'm still on 3.0.0. Now that the Switch is region free, fan translations are going to be huge for this system.

Nope. They're not using the SDK, can confirm. Not like it would help much with RE anyways, it's just standard C/C++ libraries with clang compiler. Can't even debug without a dev unit anyways, so for all intents and purposes, it's useless in this scope.

The biggest one I'm looking at is MHXX. That already has a patch for 3ds I think. If someone gets file swapping to work on Switch, it probably won't take long to port the translation over.

I would imagine very very soon actually. If we can generate them, we;ll be able to figure out the reverse simply/easily.
