Hey everyone,
Could someone please direct me to the right thread, I just bought a used 3ds online, when I received it the version was 5. Something, my son updated it to the latest firmware 11.4. Now I'm trying to install custom firmware and HBL on it and I dont know where to start, any help would be appreciated thank you.

You cannot install cfw on an 11.4 console unless you solder some wires to the mother board so tbh you were better off with an old firmware and after hacking it you could update it . here is the guide anyway have a look at it and choose your section (your type of 3ds) then your firmware. Look up 3ds.guide on internet

The definitive resource for modding a 3DS is here: https://3ds.guide/

There is no way, short of a hard mod, or a second modded 3DS, to mod an 11.4 console at this time.

If you get Ninjahax you can get the homebrew launcher but thats for the new 3ds only

if you want CFW you need a hardmod or you need to wait for NTRBootHax

Yeha but that requires two consoles and one already hacked

A DSi wouldn't help, it has to be a modded 3DS

can the save not be set up on a dsi then transfered over via dsi transfer to 3ds?

Doing a system transfer from DSi to 3DS deletes the saves. Plus DSi shop is closed.

I was thinking they might have it already downloaded and dam, thats brutal, kinda sucks and makes ya not wana transfer o.o

Lol yea. I regret transfering from my DSi to 3DS. My Zelda 4 Swords save was rekt (Didnt know about the exploit at the time) and I had some good times playing that with my siblings.
