Greetings, all. I was wondering if a code affecting Navarro points exists--or if, should that not be the case, one could be made.
So far I've been able to modify: the AC, Defense/weight balance, Grade (including element bonuses), weapon preferences (skills? the two icons that show what type of weapon gives the boost), and base item type (bought an Odin? now it's a Xenon!) for LBX heads.
That sounds awesomeMaybe a cheat plugin with all weapons, armor, money, change rank....maybe?
it's not so much that they went above and beyond on save encryption/etc., it's that they added so many mechanics to the 'armor' type parts, its not practical to make broad, all-encompassing codes. That and there are less part slots than actual part types (by far), plus a reason to carry multiple variations of the same part. Even the "always changes on startup" is a couple of pointers and only applies to a small portion of the data the game uses for save info.Sorry for bumping this ancient page. But let me just say, I like the fact that they designed the coding as such that it always changes on startup,
And even after save extraction, it's still heavily encrypted to the point that it takes a small niche of coders to flat out and state that you have to learn coding to even begin to scratch to surface of this game to even get even a drop of cheating into it.
No Save Editing.
No Complex Cheat Plugin.
Nada.
Forced, Raw, Fresh booted algorithm while it's running is the only way to get cheat into the game.
Literally forcing cheat coders to tell normal people who naturally hates math to learn more numbers so they can force feed the codes they made into the game.
Honestly, I'm surprised at how this game is coded. Even Fire Emblem wasn't this argumentative, seeing it has a save editor already.
you cant hex edit the save. it has encryption. NTR is the easiest method as it bypasses said encryption as the RAM data is still raw non-encrypted data.So...How would I find 0x08892444 in a hex editor..? Sorry for the noob question I really don't Hex edit. Or if it is fine to ask may I just get a 100% save or something so I can mess around with the a hex editor to figure some stuff out. looking between a 0% save and 100% save...I guess?
Ah okay thank you. All I need to know is how to make a plg then test it lol.you cant hex edit the save. it has encryption. NTR is the easiest method as it bypasses said encryption as the RAM data is still raw non-encrypted data.
Thank you for your report. I've updated the plugin, it was an error in the activate condition.
Though you need to set your language as English for it to work.
This sounds great! I was wondering if you could find what ids the parts equipped onto Van are, so that someone could potentially change Van's frame into a boss exclusive frame. For those at all still interested in this, I finally revisited this game and already I've managed to nail down pointers most battle data (LP, BP, Tension, Chance Gauge, and Ammo - to some extent). The battle pointers were a tad annoying as they used a double layer pointer (pointer1+offset -> pointer2 -> battle data) with the exception of ammo, which is grouped under a normal single-level pointer with the data for the OSD meters that usually throws people off when searching.
I'll likely be compiling this into a simple plugin once I nail down a few more addresses I've been meaning to find (Like Navarro Points). I'll also be switchign most of the "Unlock All" codes to "Owned ___ x50" codes as its less game breaking and preserves the fun while removing the grind somewhat. If someone here still has the offsets for parts' AC data (the tune up exp they gain every battle) I could slap on a code to automatically max all of them without disturbing the rest of the parts' data. That said, if I can get a little help nailing down the pointers to what parts are equipped on Van's frame (as he's the one available the most in-game) - preferably form one of the users here that looked into the areas previously - I may be able to also rig something up to change the weapon skills on specific HG and TG pieces when they are equipped so you don't need to farm a billion of them to find one that favors your weapon choice.
