Homebrew How do I install CTR NAND on my 2DS?

I found this neat way to tell others (just in case) that my 2DS might be stolen, thanks to the splash screen section of 3dsthem.es, and it requires CTR NAND on my SD card.

CTRNAND is a nand partition on your console afaik, you can't install that. Maybe you want this: https://3ds.guide

I see no folder on my SD card named "CTRNand." Do I create it, and if so, where do I put it?

You have to put it in the actual Nand through something like Godmode9 on your system.
The file would go in 1:/rw/luma in GM9. (1: is the Sysnand partition.)

-Here's what you can do:
-Put the splash file on your SD card. (Anywhere is ok, as long as you can find it, or in the luma folder.)
-Open your SD card with GM9 and copy the splash file.
-Return to the partition selection, and open "1:"
-Open /rw, and then /luma, then paste the file in. It'll ask you to unlock writing to Sysnand, so do the key combo.

That should get the splash how you want it, although, I think you need to put it on the SD card too (In the luma folder.) so it'll show if you boot with the SD card it. I don't have a splash on mine, but there shouldn't be a reason this doesn't work.

Due to the lack of knowledge here, I'm assuming OP probably doesn't even have CTRNAND Luma, so putting it in the SD card is probably enough

Strange... I tested it without the card, and it just booted up the home menu, like it never had Luma on it...

Boot without the SD card, go to System settings and tell us the version string. Then do the same for an SD card boot. Including any prefixes such as Sys/Emu. You may be using an EmuNAND, if the home menus are that different...

You should do what Shady Guy Jose asked first.
Are you using Boot9Strap, Arm9Loaderhax, or something else? Because you might not have luma in your CTR Nand.
If you're on one of the more recent version of Luma, and on B9S or A9LH, put either boot.firm or arm9loaderhax.bin on the root of the 1: partition in GM9, and then boot the system without the SD card.
There's steps in 3ds.guide on how to put Luma in Nand. (This quote assumes you're using B9S, but it'll work for A9LH, just replace boot.firm with arm9loaderhax.bin if that's what you're using.)

Section VI - CTRNAND Luma3DS

1. Reboot holding (Start) during boot to launch GodMode9
2. Navigate to [0:] SDCARD
3. Press (Y) on boot.firm to copy it
4. Press (B) to return to the main menu
5. Navigate to [1:] SYSNAND CTRNAND
6. Press (Y) to paste a copy of boot.firm
7. Select “Copy path(s)”
8. Press (A) to unlock SysNAND (lvl1) writing, then input the key combo given
9. Press (B) to return to the main menu
10. Navigate to [0:] SDCARD
11. Press (Y) on the luma folder to copy it
12. Press (B) to return to the main menu
13. Navigate to [1:] SYSNAND CTRNAND -> rw
14. Press (Y) to paste a copy of the luma folder from your SD card
15. Select “Copy path(s)”

the problem is only Luma look first on SD-Card for this Files ... but since we copied Luma (Boot.firm and the Luma folder) like on the Tutorial "Section VI - CTRNAND Luma3DS"
, we can simply delete the Boot.firm and the Luma Folder from SD-Card and it work perfect

You have the splash screen when you boot from the SD card, right? If so, just copy the contents of the Luma folder (except the payloads folder) from SD:/Luma to SysNAND:/rw/Luma using GodMode9
