because some game devs actually do innovate their games and push them.

name the last time nintendo really did something new or even pushed its game studio to do something new.

sorry

all nintendo do is release cheap hardware and release the same games but using gimmick controlls to make the system sound better.

or

is mario now innovative because you get to play as a fecking t-rex pmsl
ARMS

Splatoon

Raised Bayonetta 2

Those are new things. And both ARMS and Splatoon are directly from Nintendo.

Also, against everything you've already said, Mario games aren't the same always, they change the gameplay, even if little.

FIFA changes their way of playing soccer each release?

Need for Speed changes their core racing mechanics each release?

Everyting I see on those are graphics updates and story changes, but no new gameplay.

OP talked about PSVR which no one has. That's not stealing anyone's thunder.

PSVR is the cheapest VR headset and has sold over double the units of Vive, its closest competitor. PSVR sales pace is increasing right now because (like Switch) sales are supply constrained and they are making them at a faster rate now.

It's playable with the Pro Controller.

And "gimmicks" gave us good games in the past. Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 come back to mind.
Couldn't tell you i never played them couldn't get past the garbage gimmick controls.

Same with SS and many other Wii motion control games, just awful.

Alright? It's just your opinion, after all, and I respect it.

But still, both of those Marios are at the top 10 in Metacritic: http://www.metacritic.com/browse/games/score/metascore/all/all/filtered

They received very good critics from many and many reviewers who didn't care about the "gimmicks" you talk about, or so it seems.

lets be honest mario galaxy used almost noone of the gimmikys i mean the only motion controll i can remenber is you need to wagle the controller for the tornado spin mid air, they barely used the motion stuff unlike SS, i too hate motion controls btw and loved galaxy 1 and 2 specialy becuase they kept the motion to minimum.

How on earth did MS have the best e3 conference?!?! they announced a box with no games?

Nintendo,Sony..............................................................................................................MS.
It was sarcasm. As in Sony conference was so bad [insert PoS here] seems to be turning better.
Actually I was disappointed a lot at MS conference if you read that same post, but I expected more from Sony, so that disappointment hurt stronger.
If you look my posts around later you'll see the thing Sony related that interested me the most was Ace Combat 7 in PSVR, and that wasn't shown in Sony's conference.

zelda breath of the wild. They made a new ip splatoon. Hd rumble. Arms. Also when has mario hat ever been able to allow him to posses people. And cheap hardware? Really!? Have you even considered how much crap they packed into the joycons let alone getting it into its size factor. And also another thing to note is aren't you being hypocritical? So if you want mario to change then are you asking for games like call of duty to change? because the fps genre is a rehash of other fps at this point they all are exactly the same. And also not everyone is a fan change. Sonic lost world is a really good example of bad change. (It divided a lot of players, I'm not saying its a bad game. It just didn't make its changes seamlessly.) So now what? should we expect call of duty to suddenly become a platformer and ditch all fps elements? Or expect witcher to suddenly become less open world?

ARMS is one giant fucking gimmick

Mario Lost Odyssey looks insane though
Arms is not a gimmick have you even realized you don't need to use motion controls! do your homework.

I would have to agree there. same with kirby and the rainbow paintbrush and skyward sword. not every game works with said gimmick, but there r examples of games being enhanced by them.

skyward sword is pushing it. As that game did separate the fan base a little. However that is my opinion.

actually they also used the ir pointer. Using it as a method to grab star bits.

my comment was an opinion too. :P I personally love motion controls, if done right. no more heroes is an example of that imo. I love that game despite having never beaten it. I've been playing a lot of dkc returns lately (trying to beat the game without dying which is a daunting task to say the least), and I'm not sure how I feel about waggling the controller to roll. there have been times where it didn't register.

ARMS

Splatoon - yup such an AAA title there, i mean run around paintballing - its a game that has little replay value, unless your a nintendo fan

Raised Bayonetta 2 - hmm guessing another wii u failure ported

Those are new things. And both ARMS and Splatoon are directly from Nintendo.

Also, against everything you've already said, Mario games aren't the same always, they change the gameplay, even if little. - mario is the same thing all the time, collect star end level, repeat unlock new area repeat, fight bowser save peach..... only difference is that they base it around its new bs gimmick controller

scrap the crap about EA, already said in another post about EA.

its funny that when you point out to nintendo fans about nintendo doing the same thing all the time, then you mention how other devs are pushing games, its funny you fanboys then counter with a game dev that is like nintendo, craps out the same crap but then blind to see the games other devs have released thats being the point here.

its like nintendo lovers will never see or accept anyone elses opinion to why they hate them.

arms is just a 20 min gimmick fuck fest its nothing new, i mean crying out loud the wii was littered with crap like this.

-I have to write something here, otherwise the system thinks your post was empty and doesn't quote it, because your post was only made of a quote-
Please highlight, turn to bold or italic your reply inside the quote.
It is very confusing, I thought it was all said by Olmectron and you were quoting him no idea why, because the rest of the post was empty.

I'm nor a fanboy.

You said Nintendo hasn't done anything new recently. You didn't say it had to be "new to my standards", and you can't deny things like ARMS, Ever Oasis and Sushi Striker are, by fact, new games.

Having played a lot of PC games on Steam, I loved titles like BioShock, the Batman games (as buggy as latest Knight was), Need for Speed games (I like Most Wanted buenas Criterion the most), Portal, Half Life, and many, many others, I still enjoy playing a new Mario game a lot.

If they (Nintendo) were still doing the same game just with graphics update, I would use Steam and nothing else.

It's your opinion, so I don't care what you say. I just wanted to say you can't argue they haven't done anything new. Now, if those new titles aren't good enough for you, that's not my problem, because Most of them are good enough for many people to enjoy them.
