So is just speculation, but I extracted the Cia of the game and found some tracks inside that sound a bit more like the original NES game. So again is not confirmed yet but is a idea. The tracks are in DSPADPCM format and set to mono. Another thing to note is that the extension for the pair of tracks are BCSTM and BFSTM, Unlike most games that use stereo now and days, the music was done uniquely different for this game. It seems the tracks are all mono. The reason why is that the game plays tracks in pairs, one speaker plays one audio track and the other plays the pairing track, in simple words, you hear two separate tracks at the same time through each speaker of the system, unlike most that will play one audio file in stereo. Not only did i learn something of interest today but I find it interesting itself, specifically for this game. If anyone remember sunsoft that made games for NES back in the day, they made games with very impressive audio soundtracks, seeing that blaster master may been held in higher regard the audio team for this game probably didn't want to disappoint and tried to use their own interesting composition. Although the original soundtrack was a classic many will remember over this current one.

Anyway, the current version of Blaster Master Zero is 1.2 with so far no future updates announced. But is still early to say, I only found 3 tracks in the audio file playlist that has the retro sounding music, why is part of the full game and not found inside update/dlc data is the mystery, it could be wrong and just leftover data they was experimenting with and forgot to remove it before publishing. Only thing to do is wait and hope I guess. :ninja:
