I installed Luma3ds 8.0 when upgrading b9s. I installed Luma and b9s, but now I can't turn my 3ds back on, but it still charges. Is it bricked or is something else happening?

If you have not updated to b9s 1.2 Luna 8 will not work. Remain on 7.1 or, update b9s then update to Luna 8

Just because your 3DS boots to a blank screen, doesn't mean it's bricked. Next time, don't freak out. It's extremely unlikely to brick a 3DS now adays.
It didn't boot at all. It turned on then quickly turned off every time I tried to turn it on.

But that's not a brick.
A brick would mean that your 3ds is literally dead and you cannot longer use it because something happened. Most errors that are used based are fixable and they are not bricks. Unless you start messing around with the 3ds internal memory files(Like deleting important titles that needs the 3ds to boot etc..) but those even have a fix with a nand backup.

Ok so today I went to update Luma3DS to 8.0 since I already have boot9strap and 7.1
After installing the update I noticed I was still on 7.1 then realized there was a newer Luma3DS updater. Well after installing the newer Luma3DS updater and updated to 8.0 stable build all I got was a blank screen with the power led flash on then off completely. So I decided to restore my boot.frim on the SD card and now back on 7.1 and able to boot again. Unfortunately also had to restore the boot.frim on the SysNand as well seeing it also did the same when I tryed it with out the SD card, with that being said I also replace that to and is now working.

Just wondering here... Wut happened?

Update boot9strap to v1.2 via https://3ds.guide/updating-b9s. Luma v8.0 is only compatible with b9s v1.2.

Is it possible to do with softmod without magnethax/ntrcardhax?

(Cuz I suck at soldering and I'm very inexperienced.)
